The One Lenny
studioAT9 January 2012
Having had success with The One Ronnie the BBC in their wisdom decide to turn what was an affectionate one off tribute to a great comedian into a format that allows other comedians who have faded into the background the chance to have a prime time outing and The One Lenny is a result of this.

Lenny Henry has maintained all of his charm and personality and puts this to good use through stand-up and sketches. Many are passable but others fall flat...very flat. Poor writing and one joke ideas mean that Henry is left carrying the can. While The One Ronnie had top class guests like Robert Lindsay and Richard Wilson, Henry can only boast Ronnie Ancona who isn't really of the same quality.

Henry shows why he was once so popular but this show doesn't really do him full credit.
