Kylie Minogue is currently on her More Than Just a Residency residency in Las Vegas.
It began in November last year and is scheduled to run until early May.
This isn’t the first time Minogue has performed in Las Vegas, as she recalled during a Los Angeles press conference that she had “performed a couple of times but as part of a tour.”
Speaking on what she planned her residency to be, Minogue said, “I want it to be the kind of essence of what a Kylie show has become, enough glamour and abandon. I’ve got some versions of songs that have not been heard, like reinterpretations of songs, which is exciting.”
“Live bed dances, amazing costumes. That’s the base and then we’ll see what surprises we can come up with,” she added.

Congratulations are in order for Wolfgang Van Halen, who married his longtime girlfriend, Andraia Allsop, in a ceremony at their Los Angeles home on Sunday (October 15th). The rocker brought a little metal to the festivities by including the mighty Meshuggah on the wedding playlist.
Wolfgang and Andraia got married on the eighth anniversary of their first date. According to People, the bride was walked down the aisle by her father as Dean Martin’s “Everybody Loves Somebody” played.
Meanwhile, Wolfgang walked down the aisle with his mom, Valerie Bertinelli, to a tune written by his late father, the legendary Eddie Van Halen. “The song that my father had written for me, it’s an instrumental piece called ‘316,’ he told People in a pre-wedding interview. “It’ll be a nice way to include my dad.”

There’s still no release date for Peter Gabriel’s new LP I/O, which he’s been working on for over two decades, but he’s been releasing individual tracks from it over the past few months, tied to the moon cycle. The newest one is “This Is Home,” a love song inspired by some of Gabriel’s favorite music of his youth.
“It began with inspiration from some of the great Tamla Motown rhythm sections so we’re trying to recreate that in a modern way, complete with the tambourine and handclaps,...

Wolfgang Van Halen’s Mammoth Wvh recently performed on NBC’s Today show, and in a heartwarming moment, cameras captured his mom, actress Valerie Bertinelli, and fiancée, Andraia Allsop, cheering on the band from the sidelines.
Speaking with Heavy Consequence, Wolfgang said the Today show performance was “one of the most nerve-wracking things ever.”
“I hadn’t slept at all, because we were up so early,” he added. “So, it was just kind of one big dream. It was an insane opportunity, where you’re just kind of playing, and you turn to your right and Al Roker is sitting there watching. Very, very crazy. But yeah, my mom and and my fiancée have just been so wonderful. They’re definitely the people I rely on and lean on. Just having them there to support me was really special.”

Peter Gabriel opened his 2023 “i/o Tour” in Krakow, Poland on Thursday night, marking the two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s first full solo concert since 2014 while offering an extensive preview of his upcoming tenth LP, i/o.
Aside from Gabriel’s most well-known numbers like “Sledgehammer,” “Don’t Give Up,” and “Big Time,” the two-set performance treated fans to over a dozen new songs and arrangements including the live debuts of i/o singles “Panopticom,” “The Court,” “Four Kinds of Horses,” and the title track as well as several previously unheard album cuts and a still-untitled piece that Gabriel dedicated to his late mother.
The former Genesis frontman wrapped up the main portion of the set with his 1977 debut solo single “Solsbury Hill,” but returned twice for encore renditions of the perennial crowd-pleaser “In Your Eyes” and the 1980 protest anthem “Biko.” Watch fan-captured footage and a pre-filmed...

Thanks to big syncs by the Weeknd, Motley Crue and yacht rock icon Christopher Cross, season four of Netflix’s “Cobra Kai” raised the bar in more ways than just its viewership, which propelled the show to No. 1 on Netflix’s English series chart for the two weeks following its New Years Eve release. Extending the storylines introduced in the beloved 1980s film series “The Karate Kid” and featuring many of its original stars, the series continued to find effective musical tie-ins to drive the narratives around 50-somethings Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny (William Zabka) as they pursue yet another All Valley karate tournament victory for their dojos.

Well, it's official, folks: Lara Jean Song-Covey and Peter Kavinsky finally have a song. "(I've Had) the Time of My Life" and "In Your Eyes" may need to move over now, because we're currently swooning over Leah Nobel's "Beginning Middle End" from To All the Boys: Always and Forever. As with any proper romantic comedy, there's always a second-act struggle to get to that heart-melting, foot-popping moment when the perfect song plays. So how did Lara Jean and Peter get their dream couple song? It's a story for the books.
After returning from Korea, Lara Jean meets up with Peter and watches Say Anything. She laments over the fact that she and Peter don't have a proper meet-cute, which makes them a terrible rom-com couple. Lara Jean's also bummed that they don't have a song, so the two of them start brainstorming ideas. When they're at school, Peter suggests...

This year’s Grammys are highly competitive when it comes to nominations, despite the coronavirus pandemic that shut down so much of the entertainment industry. The dawn of the Eighties was supposed to make prog bands like Genesis, Yes, and Rush die out like the dinosaurs, now that we were in the age of MTV and New Wave. That’s not quite how it played it out, however. The men of these bands chopped off their long hair, cut their standard 20-minute songs down to size, and somehow became more popular than ever. They even joined forced in various short-lived supergroups and charted with slick hits that competed for Top 40 airplay alongside the latest offerings by Madonna and Michael Jackson.

It’s an idea that’s probably a tough sell to anyone who never came of age in the cloistered world of Catholic high schools: that the coolest event imaginable to upperclassmen was a weekend-long retreat in which the only priority was to get closer to God. Every minute of it was scheduled to maximize devotion and confession, every moment was overseen by a stern teacher or clergyperson, the idea of even sneaking in a cell phone was so foreign as to not even be considered, and the most in-demand accessory was a neon-covered “teen Bible” that mistook Comic Sans as a hip font choice. Crying was all but required, sharing horribly embarrassing secrets was the primary currency, and when someone would ask if 48 hours at a faux campsite about 30 minutes from campus had changed your life, there was only one acceptable answer: “yes, God, yes!”

The Weeknd has unveiled a new remix of his After Hours track, “In Your Eyes,” which features Doja Cat. The singer, aka Abel Tesfaye, released the cut at midnight on Wednesday.
Despite the song’s buoyant, synth-tipped melodies, the lyrics hint at the doubts and fears that can transpire when expressing vulnerable feelings within a relationship. The remix includes a sort of call-and-response to Weeknd’s lyrics. “You always try to hide the pain/You always know just what to say/I always look the other way,” the Weeknd sings.

The Weeknd has shared another Anton Tammi-directed visual for “Until I Bleed Out,” from his latest album, After Hours.
The clip sees the Weeknd at a drugged-up, confetti-covered party in an old movie palace. As he struggles to stand upright amid all the technicolor papier-mache, he finds that the ground is moving in circles.
After Hours is the Weeknd’s first new album since 2016’s Starboy. Previous visuals from the LP include “Heartless,” “Blinding Lights,” “After Hours” and “In Your Eyes.” The Weeknd has also shared a deluxe version...

The Weeknd gets decapitated at the club in the wild new video for “In Your Eyes,” off the pop star’s new album, After Hours.
The Anton Tammi-directed clip finds the Weeknd portraying the same skeezy and deranged lounge lizard that’s been at the center of the After Hours era, with the “In Your Eyes” video placing the character in a slasher flick of sorts. A panel of top principals from classic 1989 coming-of-age romantic comedy Say Anything… celebrated the film’s 30th anniversary and its refreshingly timeless sensibility during a Tribeca Talks event Tuesday night in New York.
Beyond the nostalgic embrace of the familiar from the sellout crowd (a loud ovation during the famed boom-box scene was no surprise), writer-director Cameron Crowe was genuinely touched to revisit this early-career touchstone, and the way beloved 19-year-old would-be pro kickboxer Lloyd Dobler, played by John Cusack, was portrayed as “a warrior for optimism.”
That spirit, which became the heart of Lloyd’s rebelliousness during this time of the Reagan era, became a central point for Cusack as well. “We landed on that and John electrified into that idea,” Crowe said.
Cusack, seen via satellite after a day of filming Gillian Flynn’s new Amazon series Utopia in Chicago, took the message a step further and appeared...

The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival has officially gotten underway. Coming to the cinematic world between the meat market of the Sundance Film Festival every January and the prestige of the Cannes Film Festival every May, the fest is hitting at arguably the perfect time. Each and every April for the last 16 years, Tribeca has showcased a wife variety of (mostly) independent movies, some of which can struggle to see the light of day, while others fare better and break through. Still, there’s always a gem or two in the lineup, along with even the occasional Academy Award nominee. That should still be the case in 2019, so now is a solid time to take a look at some of what Tribeca has to offer for this year. Last year, two of the best movies ever to play the festival hit in All About Nina and Disobedience. They were joined by the...

Happy Thursday, Grey's Anatomy fans. Finally, some more news has broke regarding the current season 15 of your favorite show which is currently on a long, winter break hiatus. It turns out that they are going to bring an older, more mature lady into the mix at some point after the winter break is over. According to the folks over at TV Line.com , The Grey's Anatomy production crew has hired former Dirty Dancing actress Jennifer Grey to come on and play an assumed short story arc. Unfortunately, the ABC rep that TVLine spoke to refused to reveal any other details about Jennifer Grey's new role. So, we don't have a name for her character or what she'll be up to when she arrives. However, that has not stopped people from heavily speculating on who her character is. It's highly speculated that she could play character Jo Wilson's estranged mother.

Greta Gerwig remembers the "Eureka!" moment.
The 34-year-old actor, an indie-cinema fixture and a co-writer for films like Frances Ha and Mistress America, had been struggling with a screenplay she'd been working on for a while, a story about a young woman coming of age in Northern California. For some reason, she "felt I kept hitting some sort of wall with the movie that I couldn't break through." Then, out of the blue, two lines of dialogue popped into her head.

MaryAnn’s quick take… A rom-com for people who hate rom-coms. A painfully funny movie, full of enrapturing emotion that captures the glorious contradictions of all kinds of love. I’m “biast” (pro): nothing
I’m “biast” (con): not a fan of romantic comedies
(what is this about? see my critic’s minifesto)
How many ways can a movie be spoiled by its own mere existence so that it’s ruined before you even see it? We now know that it’s more than the many ways in which The Big Sick spoils itself, because its multiply-foregone conclusion does not hinder its amusements, lessen its drama, or take away from its big, big, all-enrapturing emotion. It’s kind of amazing.
The Big Sick is the basically-true, just-a-little-bit-fictionalized story of the relationship between actor and comedian Kumail Nanjiani (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Goosebumps) and writer and producer Emily V. Gordon,...

Twin Peaks Recap is a weekly column by Keith Uhlich covering David Lynch and Mark Frost's limited, 18-episode continuation of the Twin Peaks television series. It's worth quoting the latest (perhaps the last?) gnomic pronouncements from Margaret "The Log Lady" Lanterman (the late Catherine E. Coulson), speaking via phone to Deputy Sheriff Tommy "Hawk" Hill (Michael Horse), in full: "Hawk—electricity is humming. You hear it in the mountains and rivers. You see it dance among the seas and stars. And glowing around the moon. But in these days, the glow is dying. What will be in the darkness that remains? The Truman brothers are both true men. They are your brothers. And the others, the good ones, who have been with you. Now the circle is almost complete. Watch and listen to the dream of time and space. It all comes out now, flowing like a river. That which is and is not.

John Williams is the composer behind some of the most iconic music in movie history, so it’s hardly surprising that his fans would want to honor him and the impact his work has had on their lives. However, the way a pair of young musicians named Bryce Hayashi and Michael “Mickle” Miller decided to show their love of Williams’ music is a little surprising. Recently, Hayashi grabbed his trumpet and Miller grabbed his flugelhorn, and the two of them stood right outside of John Williams’ house and played Star Wars music while someone stood off to the side and filmed it.
The whole thing seems like a nerdier take on the “In Your Eyes” scene from Say Anything, but with two teenagers playing Star Wars music for an old man instead of John Cusack declaring his love for Ione Skye. There’s a slight twist, though: It turns out...
