Finally Edith Owusu takes centrestage. It is her inquest and her father Sir Anthony Owusu makes an appearance. He is a barrister and is conducting the inquest as an advocate for her daughter.
What happened on that fateful evening comes to the fore at the inquest. Edith being described as just another junkie by the matron. The junior doctor out of her depth.
Dr George Adjei of the medical investigation unit follows some new leads. He goes to the rehab clinic where Edith went to go clean. It seems that the clinic mistakenly think that all their patients remain clean once they leave.
For Doctor Lucinda Edwards she follows up Rob Thornbury's prescribing. Deal with his sideline in his absence. However another tragedy is waiting for Dr Edwards.
If there is a thriller element, it was very much in the last shot of the episode.
At the moment Malpractice is still not firing on all cylinders. I think some of the writing is below par and the show is just not flowing well.
