Superb outstanding first season with all strong episodes and characters. Season two was a bit less but still enjoyable and fascinating re politics. Season three mediocre in new characters and storyline. It misses the balance of season one in all apects.

Unsettling

Warning: Spoilers
I have to agree with the reviewer who said this episode is CONFUSING. It's obvious the writers were trying to cut some corners and move the story along, but they didn't really take the audience into consideration. THEY knew the location of the story on the timeline but we (the audience) didn't.
For example: We're thrust into a situation where Katrine and Kasper are seen apart, she in her apartment and he on television. But it's several minutes before it's mentioned in the dialog that Katrine and Kasper have split up. And until we hear that dialog, the separate scenes of Kasper and Katrine don't make sense.
Likewise, as the audience, we have NO idea why Britgitte is apparently flying around the world and giving lectures. Did she take a job of some kind? What specifically?
The writers did EVENTUALLY fill in most of the pieces of the puzzle but catching the audience up to speed was done in a clumsy manner, imho.
So the political intrigue didn't have the impact it might have had, because we as the audience were unsettled as to what was transpiring.
Hopefully now that we have our bearings, the rest of season 3 will flow more smoothly.

A letdown from the first two years but still entertaining.

This is quite a change from the first two years when the show had wonderful casting, sharp dialog and intuitive direction. Knudson is still as treasure as Nyborg; her smile lights up a room while her despair brings a tear to my eye. The part that's missing for me is the elimination of Sanne, whose less-than-perfect skills and curtsy made her a welcome bit of naivete to a sometimes nasty affair. Still, I watched it all and couldn't wait for the next episode (the series gets better with each episode).
What the .........!

Apparently the third season starts two years after the last one. I use the term "apparently" because for much of the early part of this, I had no idea what had gone on. Why wasn't she Prime Minister? What has gone on with Katrine and Kasper? And what is happening in politics. Also, the husband is still out of the picture. I guess Brigitte is making big bucks now as a lecturer. But she has politics in her veins and when she finds out what the moderates are up to, she decides to jump back into the game. She talks Katrine into joining her as a press secretary. But now we've been had. We are being taken in by her need to do what is right for Denmark, especially the disenfranchised.
