Each year, hundreds of pumpkins lose their lives in the Punkin Chunkin World Championship in Dover, Delaware. But their sacrifice is not in vain: Science Channel films the annual event and airs the highlights a couple days after Thanksgiving. The official event was canceled this year (there was a kerfuffle over permits at the regular location), but the Chunk must go on, and so former Mythbusters Kari Byron and Tory Belleci got together with a group of Chunkers in New Hampshire for a weekend of experimental gourd-hurling. The resulting Punkin Chunkin: Superchunk! special will air Saturday, Nov. 29 at 8/7c on both Science Channel and Discovery.

Why ABC handed Thursdays to Shonda Rhimes: Because she gets it Shonda Rhimes and her “ShondaLand” gets that social media is a key ingredient in promoting your show. But that’s not all. As Alexander Hardy notes, "With a decade of primetime hits and misses under her belt, Rhimes is a master at creating bustling content, hooking viewers emotionally, and assaulting the senses with just the right amounts the saccharine and the stomach turning. Her characters—whether gladiators, doctors, or otherwise—are cocktails made with equal parts ridiculous, despicable, and histrionic.” Plus: How much TV can Shonda conquer?, how Shonda Rhimes revolutionized gay characters, and play the “Tgit” drinking game. “Scandal” is back: Here are 4 hopes for new season Season 4 needs to have more Olivia, less Olitz. Among the many people affected by a shooting incident Friday (Nov. 1) at Los Angeles International Airport are two stars of Discovery's reality hit "Mythbusters," Tory Belleci and Grant Imahara, who were on their way to rural Delaware for the annual "Punkin Chunkin" special. Both of them tweeted messages and photos as the scene was unfolding.
Belecci's most recent reports were that the people being held inside were being given water and snacks (at just after 1 p.m. Pt) and that eyewitnesses were being taken from the holding area to be questioned (about 1:40 p.m. Pt).
Zap2it spoke to Belleci as he was still waiting inside Lax, hoping to continue his travels.
Asked how he was doing and what happened, Belleci said, "Shaken up. I was at Gate 33, which was right around the corner from Gate 36, when all of a sudden we heard shots. It didn't really register until...

When a shooting occurred at Los Angeles' Lax airport, many celebrities were on the scene. Thanks to Twitter, their stories of the incident are already out. Find out what two "Mythbusters," James Franco, Nick Jonas and more had to say here.
Tory Belleci and Grant Imahara of "Mythbusters" were en route to Delaware for a Punkin Chunkin. Belleci posted several updates on his Twitter feed from the airport. His first message was one of confusion:
"Something crazy is going down at Lax. People running everywhere. We just got evacuated."
When he figured out what was going on, the tweets turned to fear:
"Shooters in #Lax That was f***ing terrifying!"
While Belleci didn't see the incident himself, he talked to someone who did:
"We are being shuttled away from the terminal now. Eye witness said the shooter had an assault riffle."
The Mythbuster also called in to Fox News and...
