Meh

Like the other review stated, sometimes you have a hard time feeling that sorry for the "victim." She did some questionable things herself. Also, it's common knowledge that if someone wants to hurt animals they are likely a sociopath.

She should be in jail too!
embmw20 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The perpetrator was a psychopath, possessed, or both but the wife knew right from wrong and chose to do wrong anyway, solely out of pure selfishness. She abandoned pets she purported to love in order to stay with someone she claims mistreated her, and even after she left him she still took money she knew was stolen instead of doing the right thing. Yet she has the nerve to go on TV and try to play a victim?!? If there were any justice she would have done jail time.

This is usually a rather good show, but the producers need to ensure that the "victims" featured truly are victims, and not accomplices.

No compassion for Jennifer
pumping_iron-122 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is the first episode wherein I felt no compassion for the loved one of the perpetrator. Jennifer Meyer moves in with George Yzaguirre (the perpetrator). After she moved in, she caught George trying to taser her cats. He tells her that cats are wild animals who belong outside. He gives her the ultimatum that if she wants to stay, the cats must go. She then just leaves the cats outside somewhere. Then she says she hopes the cats were picked up by someone. Really! You couldn't take the cats to a shelter where they would be safe and have the possibility of adoption. I don't see her as much different from George. I am an animal activist and an animal lover and that just infuriated me.

He then buys her a puppy who is allowed to stay indoors. Did she even confront George about calling a cat a wild animal who shouldn't be indoors but it was alright for a dog. Both animals are domesticated.

In another segment, George takes her to an ATM to repay her $100 he owes her. He pulls out a stack of credit cards and it was obvious to her that they were other people's cards and he was searching for PIN numbers. Finally one worked and she got her $100. The $100 that she watched him steal from another person's bank account. She neither reported this incident to the bank nor the police. She just happily took her $100. Hard to feel compassion for someone like this.

An absolute record

...amongst many in this series. Just 9 minutes into this episode and I have zero respect nor sympathy for the narrator. Oh, right. She has a name: Jennifer. But how can anyone possibly have respect for a dormat? To give up your - most likely - affordable apartment to live with someone you've only known for a couple of months...just after your last boyfriend was sent to prison. Oy-vey. She obviously walks around with a "feed me" sign on her. Then, to allow anyone to bully her into relinquishing her cats soon into that preposterous arrangement. He had a taser in his hand forcryingoutloud. You should have take the cat in your arms and walked out then and there. But, no, you left the cat(s) in the woods? YOU should absolutely never ever own another animal again. In fact, your tubes should be tied.
