Warning: Spoilers
Paramount+ has found another quality series in Criminal Minds: Evolution. I just don't think people are going to jump on board with the streaming service, but all they can do is continue to deliver quality shows.

I am glad they have had Rossi get dark and have shouting matches with Penelope, although I would prefer they limit all of the scenes she is in regardless.

This was another really solid episode though. This show has found the right tone, they kept most of the core cast, so far they are hitting the right notes and doing everything that they need to do to make this reboot a massive success.

BAU isn't aware of how common sexual kinks work?
rhb-0642325 February 2024
They're still doing their shakedown cruise but...

They really need Reid or an adequate substitute. I'd expect the BAU to be aware of how cuckolding works, that it's highly unlikely that the cuckold would want revenge. Reid would know that, I'm disappointed Rossi didn't correct that either. The opening quote actually makes the point quite well.

I'll continue streaming this, following two episodes improve a bit but it has a ways to go to live up to the best this show has done before.

Garcia was always an idiot savant but they've managed to make her flakier? Does anyone believe any part of the FBI would put up with the blathering nonsense she spouts before FINALLY giving the agents the information they need? Talk about suspension of disbelief.

Well written episode
butterflygirl-1205630 November 2022
I wasn't disappointed by the twists and turns of this episode. We found the team struggling to connect and do their jobs as the last episode ended and this picks up as the second hour. There's political shenanigans to dodge for the entire team as well as real life responsibilities and emotions to juggle. I was pleased that the writing and plot development were spot on as usual. It still felt like the CM family with a post covid twist. The acting was on par and pleasantly surprising as come back shows usually drop the ball but not our CM team! The new plot line is unique and scared the crud out of us as usual while drawing everyone in. We cannot wait to see what happens this season. How do the writers and actor keep it fresh? It's great!

Watching Garcia Cry
Johnny_West14 December 2022
The second episode of the Garcia Show features more scenes of Garcia crying uncontrollably whenever she talks to anyone. Semi-retired Garcia makes money teaching people how to bake cookies in the living room / kitchen of her gigantic home. Her apartment is the size of a small auditorium. The rent must be astronomical. Unless she is baking edibles, how can she afford it?

The deputy director of the FBI wants to shut down the BAU unit, because he noticed that they are dysfunctional nutjobs. In addition to Garcia, there is Rossi, who spends every episode angry, and yelling at Alvez or random strangers. Joe Mantegna plays Rossi, and he is 75 years old, and looks a lot older. Apparently there is no mandatory retirement age for the BAU? Does the FBI provide diapers?

Alvez and Dr. Lewis are like robots that just pop up to give random facts. It seems like they are filling in for the loss of Reid, the boy genius. The team leader, Prentiss (Paget Brewster) looks like she aged 30 years in the past two since the series was canceled. She also gained at least 30 pounds. She looks frightful in her gray wig, and all she does is walk around telling the rest of the BAU that the deputy director wants to shut them down. She is really bizarre.

The killers are just cardboard cut-outs, almost a parody of past villains. One guy wants to cut people open at the spine. Really incredible and unlikely. Just bad writing for the sake of creating new ways to kill people.

Every killer has his own gigantic cargo shiping container, where they hack people up and disect them. Really moronic concept, especially since there are dozens of them all over the USA. How many public lands can you fill up with shipping containers? How are they getting electricity?
