"to be honest, I'm not honest, but honestly..."
howboutthisone_huh15 September 2022
Obviously. Heavy scripting and hyper dramatized and yet I kept watching to the end so I guess the producers were successful. But, I only watched for the scenery. I mean who doesn't want to live in the bush for a couple of weeks with a hot tub, beer, whine (um, wine) and hot chicks and plenty of food and the occasional work. How do you do season 2 though and make it believable or does it really matter? They need to work on their 'woke' plan though, then maybe oz is different. This would definitely not fly in the US. The worst part is now I have dreams that hugo is narrating and it's creeping me out.

Slow paced compared to USA Survivor
james_abbey7 September 2022
Slowly paced show about a group of people signing on to win $250,000 AU.(169,265.52 USD). The show promotes theft and encourages the participants to actively sabotage the project. Rewards are out weighted by the risk.

The eventual winner will have to decide to either split the money between the remaining players or keep it all for themselves.

Much like other adventure game shows, the cast males the show, in this case they are really a distraction from it. Better game playing is needed and some more interpersonal dynamitic are needed..

The actual location is stunning but is hardly used. More camera and needed.

"I Dug A Hole"
HorrorVision21 September 2022
They are literally building a bridge across a lake. This is all the show is essentially about. A cash prize awaits on the other side and the winner can either keep it or split it with their fellow contestants.

If you've seen 'The Castle', I'll refer you to the scene "I dug a hole".

Like 'Survivor', there is a survival aspect and like 'The Mole' there are sabotaging aspects, however 'The Bridge' offers no originality and you'll likely find yourself struggling to stay engaged.

They've pulled out the big guns, having Hugo Weaving narrate the show, but - alas - it probably won't save the ratings.

I'm REALLY SORRY I WATCHED THIS TRASH !
lyninbyron5 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
There were lazy, scheming, backstabbing, lying slackers and hard working grafters working towards the end goal of finishing the bridge and getting a share of $250,000.00.

I was so angry that Bardie, who was trusted to walk the bridge, didn't do what everyone expected and that was to share the money with the hard workers! It was so embarrassing to watch her thank each person for all their hard work and then add "But No money for you"!

She had dreams of opening a business, which left me cold! The hard workers got her there, the least she could have done was to share the bootie. I was completely surprised by her selfishness, but even more surprised by her "Scrooginess" and barefaced audacity to thank each one and give them nothing. What a SELFISH COW!

Absolute RUBBISH !!!!
