While I was pretty disappointed with this short film for the first half, it gets infinitely better in the second. The little girl is doing a magnificent job and if that's the shape of things to come, she should have a great career coming up. This short film by internet celebrity Shane Dawson (starring himself as blonde trailer trash girl with an equally trashy black best friend) is quite a double edged sword. It's only very rarely funny, occasionally even cringeworthy, but it fully delivers on the emotional level, especially towards the end.
So if you're not one of the 3.5 million people who already watched the film on the director's channel, go for it during the next holiday season, but keep your little ones away and watch the original Grinch short film from the 1960s with them.
