Just Okay

Warning: Spoilers
Good enough for those tween girls that can dream. Because in reality, you have to have a vivid imagination to get past the impossible happenings in this film. The close-ups of dad and daughter riding was obvious it was fake. And the age difference of the couple was to far out for them to both be young together. Who ever did the casting must have been laughed out of the next job! I will say the countryside was pretty.

bad movie

Warning: Spoilers
This was the worst movie Chris has ever made the story was good but the facts were so bad that it destroyed the movie, wild stallions do not come around to eat apples you can not just walk up on one and you serenity could never ride one in two days and race it in three weeks, and the talk about the Kentucky derby that horse is not even a thoroughbred and not registered with the jockey club, I understand its a movie but people that have horses hate movies like this there was no research done. my opinion the director probably does not even know what a horse is.I have seen other low budget movies that the facts were very good be cause it was written buy people that know horses.

It's Not Good
cardinalrichie26 August 2014
It actually is,believe it or not, better than some of the offerings on Redbox, but overall it really is bad. I thought Kris Kristofferson was dead, and as it turns out HE IS, it's just that someone has neglected to share that information with him so he can just fall down !

The story is thinner than horse hair and if the acting had been any worse I'd say this was made for someone's junior college film class in New Hampshire.

I wouldn't dare write a spoiler for this film, it was spoiled pretty much after the opening credits. I would hate to think someone actually had a straight face when they sold this story to someone and actually went to the trouble of casting, filming, editing, promoting and sitting back to watch all the positive reviews.

Unbelievably amateurish!

Another reviewer compared this to something done by a junior college film class, which is an insult to junior college students. Simple-minded script, wooden acting, and implausible plot. What bank will underwrite a $9,000 loan to someone who is already $11,000 in arrears on mortgage payments? I quit watching after five minutes in.

Good Triumphs in adversity!

An interesting idea, likely done before about a farmer with a love for horses and heavily in debt to the bank who finds a stallion in a field, talks to it, trains it and gets it to run in a race. You can almost guess the end, but I would argue this is one of those movies for ALL the family, no foul language, good entertainment, hardships on every side, but worth watching for the end result..enjoy - we did!

Really enjoyed it.

Remember when you were a child and the family gathered around the TV on a Sunday night to watch a show about a family and/or animals? Well here is that type of movie. With Kris Kristofferson as the patriarch of the family, who along with his wife and daughter are trying to keep the family land but he still wants to follow a dream of his own. It is an intriguing film about family and working together for a goal. The story is inspiring and encouraging for all families that may have difficult times. Yes I recommend it. Good show!

Warning: Spoilers
Nice, clean movie with a good story and characters I cared about. It follows a struggling family on the verge of losing their farm. But they gradually earn the trust of a wild horse, and prepare him for a race that could save their livelihood. The only complaint I have, really, is that Mr. Chaney is too overtly evil. Then, in the final scene, he and his wife do a complete 180.
