PART 1: The start of the episode tells us that summer is over but then we get a look back to how the summer started with Frankie loving the weather but Mike telling the children no to watch TV for the whole of summer making them go outside. Then telling them they are going to a drive in theatre showing them how summer can be fun. The movie choices they get are ("Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang", "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Serpico") which the call old but they are classics. They are told to go the playground, there they discuss their favourite where they all say they are the favourites of their parents. Mike calls Axl his favourite which makes sue very upset. Later in June and Brick has his tomato plant. Sue also overacts like she usually does causing her to spend so much time with him doing so much summer fun. When Frankie finds out that Axl has failed English she gets super mad at him. Fourth of July and everyone is outside with Axl talking about summer school while Sue still has her Sue and Dad summer. Then when the talk of favourite parents comes up all the kids choose Dad as their favourite while Frankie goes crazy about it.
PART 2: It's August and Brick still growing his plant. Now with Frankie trying to get her children to have fun outside she starts jumping through the sprinkler. Frankie and Brick have talk about favourites and Frankie wants him to use her as his favourite saying she will bring him were ever he wants to go. Then Sue finds out that she can get attention if she is bad which gives us some looks at bad sue which is so funny. Then of their way to the tomato competition we see Sue admit all the bad things she has done. Then Axl gets into a derby ruining Brick's tomato, crushing the car and almost losing his paper. Then Sue decides to disappear even going to the lost and found hoping that someone would look for her, but it seems hours later another family finds someone but no one comes looking for Sue. When they finally get there it's only to find Axl's English paper not even noticing she was gone for some time. At the end of episode the whole family has an argument like usual with no one listening to Sue, Axl causing trouble and the parents trying to solve everything.
Nice return maybe not the best but I love how these actors are also so much like a family I sometimes believe they really are. Eden Sher is so funny and the character of sue is genius on her part.
