A flashback is shown in which Oliver has an arrow through his torso. A man comes to him and pulls it out. There is visible blood at the wound and covering the arrow. During a later flashback, there is blood on Oliver's shirt. Max Fuller punches Oliver in the face. Several people are shot during a social gathering. There are visible sprays of blood. Oliver fights Deadshot hand-to-hand. Oliver shoots a man through a lens the man is wearing over his eye. You see the arrow through the broken lens on the man's face afterward, but don't see the wound directly. During a flashback, Oliver has visible moderate amounts of blood on his shirt. Diggle is shot and there is visible blood on his shirt.

- Diggie tells Oliver that Thea was caught breaking and entering into a store, and the "breathalyzer lit up like a Christmas tree" when the cops found her and her friends. The mother says a few moments later that she was arrested earlier for public intoxication. Oliver and Tommy go to a nightclub. There is drinking. Thea later says she is "wasted."
