Why is it neglected?
Ana_Banana6 December 2013
A fine comedic show, with not-too-sarcastic a take on relationships, family issues and other urban quirks, with smart humor, a quick pace, memorable characters and good acting. So why is it neglected and not widely distributed or commented, even here on IMDb? Think of it as a Brazilian and more contemporary variant of 'Gilmore Girls': witty and 'amorously challenged' leading lady - check, quirky sidekicks (male and female) - check, a bit ambivalent relationship with her mother - check (though much more lighter than Lorelai vs. Emily), young, smart and more sensible daughter - check (yet younger than Rory and not Graca's). If you can imagine quirky Kirk (he, he) as 'Lorelai''s ex... Not knowing the real Brazilian lifestyle, I can't confirm the thorough authenticity of this show, as it has indeed several moments with a certain American feel (or is that mandatory for comedies aspiring to success these days?). Anyway, it's nice to watch, at least for its (auto)ironic style and witty script.

Great find on HBO

I am in total agreement with the other two reviewers. I came across this on HBO and ended up binge-watching. It is addictive and very funny. I liked all of the supporting characters and the main character. Its easy to like them. There isn't really a main protagonist that recurs in every episode (unless you count her ex-husband) but he's not a mean person and can't really be viewed as such. The fact that its two different guys every episode (the titles are derived from this), you know its predictable but its still funny to see how it plays out with each of them. Its the first time I've watched a Brazilian comedic series and I enjoyed it. I was pleasantly surprised. I wonder why this show did not receive the heavy promotion that some HBO shows get.

My new favorite TV show

Couldn't agree more with the lady who wrote the previous and the only review. I am also amazed that there is no greater enthusiasm for such an awesome show. Good acting, nice faces and characters easily to fall in love with. Mulher De Fases is an amusing story about a young woman, intelligent and ambitious, but somewhat confused, especially in her relationships with men. She is very curious about men, and can make contact with almost any type of person, whether it is a teenager, an architect, overly emotional "Emo", aerobic enthusiast, or an aged client. Like a chameleon, she adapts herself to the person of her interest, which causes a series of comic situations among her friends and family members. Right now I'm watching first season on HBO, and hope they will put some more. Really cute and amusing show, much better than most of the rubbish TV offers these days.
