The production company received its name when Michael Q. Schmidt and Robyn Jean Springer had stepped out to pick up burgers, and stems directly from Michael's reply to the clerk when asked whether they'd like cheese on their burgers.
The film took two days to shoot in 2010, but waited over two years to be put through editing.
