Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • On crunchyroll, there is a special version of the show called "Jojo redited", and it removes all of the "mature" matter.
  • A lot of dogs die in gruesome ways. However, it's worth noticing that the show does NOT in any way advocate for that and is only used to make the villains more horrifying, according to Hirohiko Araki himself.
  • Some of the villains, like Angelo, Cioccolata and J. Geil, are extremely evil, sadistic and psychopathic, and their cruel and heinous actions may be unsettling and frightening.
  • Polpo, one of passione capo, was seen eating his fingers
  • Rated R for strong sustained sequences of stylized bloody violence throughout, disturbing images, crude and sexual content, partial nudity, animal cruelty, alcohol use, language, drug use and smoking.
  • A character commit suicide.
  • There are many frightening and intense scenes.
  • -Notable cases from Part I: Phantom Blood and Part II: Battle Tendency-
  • Part I in particular has a "horror" theme, with several vampires, zombies and instances of frightening violence.
  • A few instances of somewhat brutal violence, particularly during Dio's rampage as a vampire near the end of Part I.
  • In Part II, the Pillar Men awakening from their slumber is very disturbing, as they are seen murdering several Nazis in a gory fashion. The abilities of Santana are frightening as well, being able to contort his body like rubber and absorb other beings into himself.
  • -Notable cases from Part III: Stardust Crusaders-
  • The ending of Part III is very intense and emotional, as several main characters die.
  • -Notable cases from Part IV: Diamond is Unbreakable-
  • Part IV has a mystery theme that revolves around Josuke and his friends tracking a mysterious serial killer. This killer is, considerably, a very disturbing villain. Due to his hand fetish, he murders women and severs their hands to keep as "girlfriends" until they rot. He is shown carrying severed hands around with him in a sandwich bag, talking to them, buying them jewelry and more. This is meant to be, and is, extremely unsettling for viewers.
  • The appearance of a few Stands, such as Killer Queen and Aqua Necklace could be scary due to their unnerving appearances.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • A character is heavily injured with bullet wounds all around his body. The main protagonist's stand Gold Experience allows him to heal the wounds. In one short scene the main protagonist was healing the other person and was positioned in front of his crotch and it looked as if the protagonist was sucking his penis.
  • It is shown in a character's flashback that a professor groomed and implied to have had sexually assaulted him when he was 13-year-old.

  • A young girl is seen taking a shower though her breasts and buttocks are not really seen. During this scene an orangutan walks in on the girl and tries to approach. Before anything can happen, Jotaro jumps in and fights and later kills the orangutan. Nothing is shown through the scene, but is nonetheless extremely creepy and disturbing.
  • Joseph and Avdol have their bodies magnetized by a Stand, causing them to become stuck together. In one scene, the two try to become unstuck and in the process, Avdol's head becomes stuck to Joseph's crotch. A crowd watches, beliving he is performing oral sex. Later, Avdol's crotch becomes stuck to Joseph's behind and as Avdol tries to become unstuck, it looks like he is thrusting and performing anal sex. The entire scene is very prolonged, but is played strictly for comedy and isn't graphic as both men are clothed.
  • A teen boy is implied to have used his Stand's ability to transform into other people to have sex, mostly his crush. He stated he only does this because he doesn't have the courage to force himself on her. The same boy is later described as an exhibitionist in a later episode.
  • The main antagonist of part 4, Yoshikage Kira is a serial killer with a severe hand fetish. He murders women and severs their hands, keeping them on his person and treating them as "girlfriends". He is seen sucking sauce off of a severed hand's fingers and in a later episode, says that when he first saw the Mona Lisa as a child, he experienced an erection. Aside from this, the relationship with his hands are never sexual, but are highly disturbing.

  • A humongous vampire rips Zeppili in half. The same vampire tries to kill a child too, but is taken down. Two men are beheaded by execution in a flashback. Their heads are shown lying on the ground.
  • Dio's head is split in half from Jonathan's "Hamon" attack, although he casually heals it afterwards. Dio's body is later destroyed but reappears as a severed head, still alive. He then proceeds to kill Jonathan and presumably takes over his body.
  • Caesar fights a very bloody battle against Whamu. Caesar then forms a bubble from his blood to protect Joseph's antidote and is crushed by a cross-shaped piece of stone. Blood later pools out of the stone after Joseph discovers it. Very emotional, and easily the saddest moment of the whole show.
  • Hol Horse shoots Avdol in the head. While this presumably kills him, he is later revealed to have survived.
  • Hol Horse shoots a man's ear off. Hol Horse is later shot in the face with his own Stand's bullets. He survives, but is hospitalized.

  • Vanilla Ice disintegrates pieces of Polnareff's thigh, foot and two of his fingers. He later mercilessly kicks Iggy several times for about a straight minute as Iggy bleeds and coughs up blood. This scene is very disturbing, especially since Iggy later dies from these wounds. Vanilla Ice is then graphically murdered by a vengeful Polnareff by stabbing him several times with his Stand and shoving him towards the sun, completely disintegrating him.
  • DIO's leg is severed by a pane of glass, he later heals it. DIO punches a cat into bloody pieces while time is frozen and stabs another man with a fork. He then throws a knife into Joseph's throat, nearly killing him.
  • DIO kills Kakyoin by punching straight through his chest, sending him flying into a water tank where he bleeds out. Jotaro is impaled by several knives and falls off a building to the ground below. He later uses his Stand to stop his own heart (by physically grabbing it) in an attempt to trick DIO into thinking he died.
  • When DIO has his head punched by Jotaro's Stand, an x-ray type screen shows his skull shattering as this happens (á la "Mortal Kombat"). Blood then pours from the wound. After healing himself, DIO graphically drives his fingers into his own head, twisting them about while laughing insanely as blood shoots out. DIO slams a steamroller on top of Jotaro, presumably killing him. Jotaro is later shown to have survived.
  • Jotaro kills DIO by punching him in the leg, shattering his Stand. This causes DIO's torso and head to slowly split in half, we see a close-up of DIO's face as it falls apart, blood spurting out of the wounds. After a moment, his head bursts in a bloody explosion and his arm and leg are severed while his body explodes into flames, and then the corpse falls down on the street in a pool of blood. Very graphic and bloody, though very satisfying due to the character being extremely evil.
  • A killer named Angelo murders a police chief after his robbery is stopped by Josuke. A liquid Stand is swallowed by a woman, which plans to kill her from the inside-out. Josuke bloodily punches through the woman's stomach to remove the Stand, then heals the wound.
  • Keicho is electrocuted to death, his charred corpse later shown on electrical wires.
  • Arnold the dog, being a ghost, is always shown throughout the series with a bloody, slit throat. In a flashback, his bloody corpse can be seen hanging from a coat hook.
  • The main antagonist of Part 4, Yoshikage Kira is a serial killer who has murdered 48 women before severing their hands. He keeps the severed hands as his "girlfriends", carrying them around and talking to them as if they were alive. Several of the hands are shown throughout the series, oftentimes with the bloody stump showing with exposed bone.
  • One of the main characters, Shigechi is murdered. He is exploded from the inside-out by Killer Queen, leaving his body bloody and contorted. He barely survives this, but Killer Queen attacks him again and he's shown exploding in slow-motion as his body turns into ashes. Due to the fact he is only a boy, this may upset and disturb some viewers.
  • Koichi is heavily absued and beaten by Kira, who punches him, kicks his face and smashes his head into a curb before fatally punching him through the chest using Killer Queen; very gory and upsetting. He is healed moments before he dies, however.
  • Kira cuts off his own hand, with the bloody stump later shown.

  • Kira murders his own son, Hayato. This is shown offscreen, but the boy's corpse is later seen stuffed into a closet.

  • The entire main cast is killed after being transformed into bombs. This is one of the most upsetting and graphic scenes in the series, as heads are seen turning into ashes as they are blown into pieces. They are all revived later on, however.
  • Okuyasu has half of his stomach blown away by Killer Queen and is presumed dead. He is healed however and survives.
  • Kira's death is also the most disturbing and violent to date. He is punched several hundred times and his hand is crushed before his head is crushed underneath the tire of an ambulance. The scene cuts away before his head is crushed, but his head is briefly seen twisting around violently as the tire breaks his neck. Later on, his spirit is torn into bloody pieces as he is dragged off into hell.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In part 6 one of the inmate is shown shooting up herion.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Part 5 is by far the darkest. Two members from an assassination group called la squadra were murdered in the most brutal way possible while trying to find the boss identity. One was brutally chopped into section as his partner was forced to watch while bound and gagged. The partner later committed suicide by choking on his gagged from despair and fear. Futhermore, the boss send the chopped up 36 remains in a preservative like frames to other members as a warning.
  • Abbacchio's death in Part 5 is very sudden and emotional.
  • In part 2, Ceasar is fighting one of the piller men, and after the battle, a large rock falls and kills Ceasar. This is incredibly emotional, followed by the reaction of Joeseph and Lisa Lisa. This is undoubtedly the most depressing, emotional and saddest scene of the entire series, and it will no doubt make a lot of viewers cry.
