This single is very special. "Jennifer She Said" talks those love affair that seem all too perfect until it dies and leaves an everlasting memory in one of the parts, in this case, a man who has tattooed the name of her lover. Ouch. Way back in the 1980's when the trend wasn't even so present but now these days whenever such thing happens, at least you can find ways to erase the other person's name, Lloyd Cole and company had this nice ballad made with plenty of style, humor and grace.

The music video consists of a performance from the group along with a violinist, and although it's hard to distinguish with certainty, the band members perform as bikers and one of them dates a pretty girl. There isn't much of a story going on - and it should have since the music paints such idea - and the majority of the video is basically the group performance. Along with "Sean Penn Blues", from their final album, this has Cole and company with their most humored lyrics and the sound is always of great quality. A quite enjoyable from the band. 8/10.
