  Bart Allen : Oops! Spoilers.

  [zooms off] 

• Nightwing : Coming all the way from the future, you must have worked up quite a thirst.

  [Gives him a glass of water] 

  Bart Allen : Thanks.

  [Drinks then pauses] 

  Bart Allen : Oh. Ah, you're trying to get a DNA sample. You need my spit. Hah, that's such a Dick Grayson thing to do!

  Robin : How did - ?

  Bart Allen : See? I know stuff only a future boy would know.

  [to Nightwing] 

  Bart Allen : Dick Grayson.

  [to Robin] 

  Bart Allen : Tim Drake.

  [to Beast Boy] 

  Bart Allen : Garfield Logan.

  Beast Boy : Your name is Tim? And yours is... *Dick*?

  Bart Allen : Oops! Spoilers. This secret identity thing is so retro.

  Bart Allen : Look look look, guys. We should all be friends. I'm really one of you. Part of the heroic legacy, right? My name is Bart Allen. You know, grandson of Barry Allen. The Flash.

  Beast Boy : Noted. Not believed. But noted.

  Bart Allen : What's not to believe? I've clearly got Flash's speed. His amazing good looks.

• Bart Allen : Ah, c'mon. Grandpa. Let the League handle this guy. I mean how often does a relative from the future show up at your door.

  The Flash : Listen, I-. I'll deal with you later. Stay put.

  [Smiles] 

  The Flash : I'll be back in a flash.

  [Zips off] 

  Bart Allen : "Back in a flash". Wow. Does he say that often?

  Iris West-Allen , Wally West , Jay Garrick , Joan Garrick : [All sigh]  Too often.

• Kid Flash : Keep your men back, Captain.

  Cop : Protecting the city is what they pay me for, Speedy.

  Bart Allen : No, Speedy's the other guy. Though history books are really unclear on the why.

• Bart Allen : Ha ha! You can't catch me that easy - -

  [Nightwing checks him to the ground] 

  Nightwing : Now *that* was crash.

  Bart Allen : For you maybe. Me? I'm totally feeling the mode.

• Bart Allen : You can call me Impulse. Or Bart. Or Bart Allen. Or Bart "Impulse" Allen. It's all crash.

• Beast Boy : Tell us something we don't know. Yet. When do I become leader of the team? When do I join the Justice League? When do I get my own reality series?

  Bart Allen : Sorry, BB. Never was the best history student. Besides, we can't risk altering the time stream. We do that, we're all feeling the mode.

  Beast Boy : And the mode would be... bad?

  Bart Allen : Doesn't get any worse. Always better to crash the mode.

  Beast Boy : Uh. Noted.

• Barry Allen : [On the phone]  What kind of... Impulse? Another speedster?... He says he's my what?

  Impulse : [Bursts in]  Yoouurr Grandson!

• Impulse : You're Wally West! My first cousin once removed!

  [Hugs him] 

  Wally West : The operative word being "removed."

  [Pushes him away] 

• Wally West : If you are what you say you are, revealing too much could crash the whole time stream.

  Bart Allen : Crash it. If only.

• Impulse : He's never gonna hit us with those.

  The Flash : No, but it's a standoff. He's generating cascading waves of energy. Each wave starts before the previous wave dissipates. There are no gaps at any speed. We can't get close.

  [pause] 

  The Flash : Wait a minute. I told you not to come!

• The Flash : Captain, the best way to protect this city is to keep its citizens at a safe distance. You handle that-...

  Impulse : And we handle Neutron, right?

  The Flash : Right. Wait. His name's Neutron?

  Impulse : Yeah. Sure. Heard him shout it. You know, like bad guys do. "I'm Neutron. All of you will die".

• Impulse : What's the plan?

  The Flash : Remember that wind funnel that you used to save me?

  Impulse : Sure I remember. I was there. So were you. Good times.

  The Flash : We do it again. On a bigger scale. You, me, Kid Flash. Around the perimeter of the explosive wave.

  Impulse : The funnel draws him upward.

  The Flash : And we move him out of the city. Piece of cake.

  [This whole conversation had taken place at super-speed] 

  Cop : You getting any of this?

  Kid Flash : Every fifth word, maybe. Flash! Yo, Flash!

  The Flash : [Normal]  Sorry, got sidetracked. You on board?

  Kid Flash : With *what*? I heard something about "funnel cake"?

• Bart Allen : Neutron totally felt the mode. He's gone.

  Kid Flash : Who's Neutron?

  The Flash , Bart Allen : The bad guy.

• Kid Flash : I didn't see that.

  Bart Allen : You don't have the Allen family eyes.

  Kid Flash : Don't make me hurt you.

• Neutron : What's happening to me?

  The Flash : We're not sure, son.

  Kid Flash : But it looks like it's over. His heat signature reads normal human now.

  Golden Age Flash : What did happen?

  Impulse : [Quickly]  No idea. Guess old Neutron just ran out of juice.

  Neutron : Who's Neutron?

• Bart Allen : Anyway, it's been crash. But the future awaits. I gotta run. Ha ha. See what I did there with the "run"?

• Bart Allen : So long!

  [Gets in time machine. It doesn't move] 

  Beast Boy : Maybe he's traveling forward one second at a time?

  Bart Allen : Not working. The whole thing's fried.

  The Flash : Can you fix it?

  Bart Allen : I'm a tourist, not a chronal expert. Look at me! I'm trapped in the stupid past. I'm so moded.

• Computer : Warning. Unknown energy impulse detected.

  Nightwing : [to Robin and Beast Boy]  Stand ready.

  [a strange machine appears from nowhere. Out pops...]
