I miss you Warrick!

It was good to see an episode that centers around Warrick Brown again. He was by far my favorite character in the entire series. I miss him so much. And the oh so handsome Gary Dourdan who portrayed him. I hate that they killed Warrick off. At least we got to see his little boy and let the other characters share their memories of this fine CSI who should never have been taken off the show.

Grey areas

Warning: Spoilers
A good episode with a satisfactory outcome (and nice to bring back Warrick Brown in spirit). But it stirs up mixed feelings, emphasising that the wrongdoing the CSIs have to handle is not always black and white - there are often grey areas and this was one of them. Here, the three victims are Bad Men, and we are not sorry to see them pass on. (Particularly the minister, as the depth of his iniquity is made clear gradually through the episode.) As a result we feel definite sympathy with Aaron Voss, a bad man with a sense of honour. He echoes Sam Braun, Willows' father in this series, and Paddy Doyle, Maura Isles' father in the Rizzoli & Isles series. The greyness extends to Tina's upbringing of Eli - she is doing her best for the son she and Warrick made together, with some bad decisions in the process. At the end, Tina seems to be heading in the right direction, and undoubtedly loves her son who loves her. As for Voss, yeah, I still feel sympathetic and would not mind seeing him back on the streets, probably as resident baddie, later in the series.

Hard Climate to Interpret

It seems when one goes into the neighborhoods which have produced so much violence, those of us not connected have trouble tracking the events. There always seems to be someone in power, but that person has long arms. Here a minister has been murdered, lying face down, bloodied over Warrick Brown's headstone. The investigation leads to his ex-wife and his son. They have been living in squalor in a drug infested house. She has tried to survive but has had to depend on some bad folks. Her resistance leads to roadblocks. But the motivations of the minister is center to this episode. I have to say that it is a little slow moving and confusing at times.

I Miss Warrick
MovieTVRomanceFan27 February 2020
This is a such a great episode and one of my personal favourites. This episode was such a wonderful and heartfelt tribute to Warrick, one of my favourite characters. It was nice to see the team remembering Warrick and how he still lives on in their memories and hearts long after he passed away and I really enjoyed seeing the newest members like DB, Finn and Morgan getting to learn about him. It was also great watching the team digging into Warrick's past, learning more about his neighbourhood and the people he knew and helped. Warrick was one of the show's best characters and he is still strongly missed. I'm glad the CSI team still have his back and he can continue to rest in peace with both his family and neighbourhood safe and sound.

Warrick Brown's Return
claudio_carvalho30 November 2023
When Reverend Rick Renkin is found murdered on the grave of Warrick Brown in a cemetery of a bad neighborhood where Warrick lives, Russell and Nick investigate the scene. Then Brass and Nick interrogate the king pin of the area, the gangster Aaron Voss, that denies the killing of the reverend. Nick goes to talk to Warrick's widow Tina and meets her son Eli. When evidence of the reverend's shoes shows blue chalk, Nick remembers that Eli has drawn with blue chalk on the floor of the entrance of Tina's porch. Finn and Sara visit Tina and find evidence that the criminal Cliff Paul has been in the house. Further, they summon the Child Protection Service to take Eli from Tina. Soon the LVPD find the body of Cliff who felt two storeys down from his apartment. When Tina says that she gave Warrick's stuffs to his young friend James Newman, he becomes the suspect of the killing.

"Fallen Angels" is another good episode of "CSI", with the return of Warrick Brown. The plot is well-resolved, as usual, with many technical research of the evidence. It is amazing how two women that have no child decide the fate of a mother. They believe the child would have a better fate in a foster house than with his flawed, but loving mother. This is the low part of the plot. My vote is seven.
