A Soap Opera with a nice edge to the story.

So I used to watch this Novela when i was in Mexico last year and i gotta say that is better then Por Ella soy Eva. This Novela starts off with Jesus who lives in Chicago and is not aware that he has a daughter. Which he later finds out by a friend of his who tells him by showing Jesus a facebook page on Jesus's ex girlfriend, who happens to have a daughter that looks very much like Jesus. So Jesus tries to go see her but is quite impossible due to his finances. Not lucky for him that he crashes his bike to a Limo of a wealthier man, who gives him cash on the spot in oder for him not to get sued, and offers Jesus his help. Who Later comes to terms and decide to give him a call and and so Jesus if offered a plane ticket to Monterey MX to go see his daughter in return he has to take a suitcase with him that belongs to an associate of his wealthier friend. Anyways you would have to wait to watch this Novela it OK some of the acting is horrible but having Blanca Soto makes up for it. It is a Comedy Novela it has funny moments and not so funny characters as well. But I do recommend it better then the current Novela on the time spot por Ella Soy Eva.

I saw some of this telenovela in Mexico nearly 6 months ago

I saw some of "Porque El Amor Manda"("Love Rules")when I was in Mexico(Hermosillo, Sonora)back in October. During some of that trip which was from October 8-12, this telenovela had just premiered by Televisa and was shown on "Canal de las Estrellas's" Hermosillo affiliate. But I only saw bits and pieces of the novela during that time. Now, nearly 6 months later, "Porque El Amor Manda" is now being shown here in the U.S. on Univision. Although it's been shown here in the U.S. for a few weeks, it seems good so far. The actors and actresses such as Fernando Colunga, Blanca Soto(in her Televisa debut), Carmen Salinas, Julissa, Alejandro Avila, Jorge Aravena, Erick Elias, Violeta Isfel, Kika Edgar, Ruben Cerda, Ricardo Fastlicht, Ricardo Margaleff, Ninel Conde, and Maria Elisa Camargo, I've seen act in other telenovelas from Televisa and maybe Venevision, RTI-Telemundo, and maybe RCN in the past and are pretty good actors and actresses as well. The theme song which is performed by dance group 3 Ball MTY who have the hits, "Intentalo" and "Besos Al Aire" is good and just as catchy as their aforementioned hits. And like many telenovelas from Televisa, "Porque El Amor Manda" is a remake. The original version was entitled "El Secretario" and was from Colombia and produced by Caracol productions. I've seen some of the first episode of that original version on Youtube for which I did notice the similarities between the original Colombian version and its Mexican counterpart. But I'm pretty sure that Telefutura will probably air "El Secretario" on that network sometime in the near future. Like I said before, "Porque El Amor Manda" seems pretty good in the short time that it's been shown here in the U.S.A. and I'm waiting to see how the rest of this telenovela turns out during its duration as well.

A cute , funny series!!!

I saw the DVD version of this Telenovela!! Its such a cute, cute, funny and romantic series. It's a really cute office romance series! The story revolves around Jesus and Alma. Jesus (Fernando Colunga) is a nice but a financially challenged guy who ends up working for Alma (Blanca Soto). Both Jesus and Alma are very endearing characters! The novel is full of funny twists and real cute romance! Blanca Soto outshines herself as Alma - Gorgeous and Glamorous!! She's perfect as Alma!! Very natural!! Fernando Colunga is excellent as Jesus - very funny! All the characters were well thought and were hilarious! Excellent cast and Very entertaining!
