Unwindulax (#7.4)

Warning: Spoilers
Jenna's new song and the chill image get her a huge fan base of Florida hippies. The writers try to fight her because of it, but Pete ends up getting to their side. Jack takes Liz to a fundraiser of his fellow right wingers and they both are trying to find a way to get different sides to win. They both realize that Florid is the swing state and that the person who can make the difference is ....Jenna!

This seems as a preview to something better in the next episode. But I like where it is going.

And while Liz was not the best with words, I can only say "Go Liz! Go Obama! Screw you Repubs!" :)

I laughed mainly through the commercial to get the black votes Jack did.

Warning: Spoilers
Liz is trying to go to work and the street is full of people crying and partying. It turns out that the people in the street are fans Jenna Maroney. Jack's girlfriend cannot go to a fancy dinner so he brings Liz with him. Jenna is loving having all of her fans on the street even though everyone seems to be annoyed by the noises. The writers notice that Jenna cannot be herself around her crab fans so they are going to use it to their advantages. At the fancy dinner Liz finally runs out of shrimp and let's everyone know what she thinks. When the writers carry out their plan on the Jenna she reacts in telling them that they are messing with the wrong person. Jack says that he brought her to the fund raiser just use he to get the votes she needed. It then turns into a competition between Liz and Jack. It turns out that Lutz is related to the twilight star Kellan as he comes out of his office. To get the black vote for Romney Jack enlists Don Cheadle who can barely get the words for Romney out of his mouth. When Liz try's to use Kellan for her show he is not able to speak over the screaming. Jack learns that even though he uses money he still cannot turn the black vote. At the same time Jack and Tracey talk about which states will vote for each candidate. When the writers bring the montage to Peter he breaks it because he finally got to relax. As Jack and Tracey look over Florida they see that it is the north of Florida that are unpredictable. They then come to the conclusion that it is Jenna who decides the president with her crab people. This was an OK episode not really the most funny but as usual Jenna was so funny to watch.

EPISODE GRADE: B (MVP: Tina Fey)

Kellan Lutz and Don Cheadle guest star

Warning: Spoilers
This 2012 pre-election episode is kind of an extended SNL sketch, and sort of pays off I guess. One of the funniest parts was Kellan Lutz's appearance where the audience went wild. I wonder if in real like Kellan is related to John Lutz.

The crabfan suplot was a bit out of nowhere, and didn't really add much to this episode really.

It's easy to forget that 30 Rock and Aaron Sorkin's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip debuted on NBC at the same time. Conventional wisdom was that Sorkin's powerhouse series be the one that would survive the first season, with 30 Rock being a one season wonder. But history has proved otherwise.

Most boring episode
jesusfreak-0088115 January 2021
Seriously. So bored. Also, laughable to have two wealthy actors arguing about ideas or money in politics.

It's always money. Both sides. Politics are literally run by people who have money, want more, and feel entitled to power to decide for the rest of us (who live normal lives they'll never understand).

And what is up with Baldwin's dye job?? It's not the right color.
