The up and downs of marriage a game show, nice reunion of Teri and James!

This episode 3 from season 2 of "FOX's" "Fantasy Island" called "Paymer vs. Paymer" was one interesting and entertaining episode that reveled secrets and it was fun and the on screen chemistry was all pro with veterans Teri Hatcher(remember her from her sexy colored bra wearing days on "Desperate Housewives") and her on screen love from "Housewives" James Denton returned here. The episode was well written and was witty with funny lines and current dialogue, as usual you see the inner on goings with central characters, as again Ruby is dealing with her new found youth, and Roarke and Javier expand on their relationship even as Javier has some personal luggage from the past. Now the main event features a long married couple Dolly(Teri Hatcher) and Dutch(James Denton) who try to go back and reconnect and find themselves and see if they were really meant as a couple. In a wild card funny twist it shows that both really don't know each other as they are featured on a game show the wheel of married truth spins! In the end secrets come about and true love is felt thru honesty. Overall well done and written episode that carries on the life of the show and the central characters and the on screen chemistry and story of Teri and James made the episode, nice to see Teri working again.

Desperate Housewifes vibes

I love this episode! I love it for putting these two back together.

It was written so good too, the dialogue was beautiful and it was just so nice seeing them two after all these years, haven't aged a day and the story written for them actually made sense.

Also liked on how the other characters touched on legit subjects and it got me looking for Kiara Barnes and seeing what else she's been in.

Helene, for somebody that's been looking for her father so badly she's like disappointed now that she found him, still, good filler story, gonna be interesting to see how the whole thing is gonna impact Roarke and Javier.

The episode matches with the theme, but one actor ruined it for me

I like this TV series. It gives me an excuse to believe in magic for a little while. This episode, on the face of it is great, but there was a specter throughout it for me. I suppose that the actor James Denton probably has done a lot work, but after 20+ years, I still cannot separate him from the character of "Mr. Lyle", from "The Pretender" (1996). James Denton portrayed the serial killer Mr. Lyle very well. The character fooled a lot of people with his sincere but manipulative behavior. Throughout this episode of "Fantasy Island", I kept expecting that everything that James Denton's character said and did would lead to something horrible.
