After years of adventurous high-profile relationships, Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker got together in 2020. When they parted ways in 2010, the Gabriella Montez actress had a brief relationship with Josh Hutcherson, her Journey 2: The Mysterious Island costar. Hudgens’ next partner was The Carrie Diaries’ actor Austin Butler. She was first linked to Butler in September 2011 and they dated...

On a Television Critics Association panel earlier this week, Andrew Lincoln teased that he and costar Danai Gurira “watched a lot of Bridgerton” to prepare for their characters’ romance in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
It turns out the Netflix binge was Gurira’s idea, as showrunner Scott M. Gimple told The Hollywood Reporter at the show’s L.A. premiere on Tuesday.
“There was some Bridgerton homework that Danai assigned,” Gimple said, to both he and Lincoln.
Lincoln and Gurira reprise their roles as Rick and Michonne in The Walking Dead spinoff series — as well as serve as executive producers — after both left the show before it came to an end in November 2022. After establishing themselves as a couple and becoming separated in the original series, the spinoff follows Rick and Michonne’s love story as they try to find each other amid the zombie apocalypse.

It’s a chilly Sunday night in Manhattan’s West Village and somehow the hottest ticket in town involves a sexually repressed Abraham Lincoln, hoop skirts, and comedian Cole Escola in a wildly convincing nineteenth-century wig.

SEEGotham Awards will present ‘Ferrari’ with Icon and Creator Tribute for Innovation
A romantic drama about childhood friends separated for years, “Past Lives” is the front-runner for Best Feature and Breakthrough Director for its first-time filmmaker Celine Song. Could it achieve a clean sweep by winning its third nomination for lead performer Greta Lee? It’s possible, but she’s in a tight race with front-runner Jeffrey Wright (“American Fiction“) for that award.

The Movie Orgy. The title is a kind of ontological dare: can an assemblage of movies all lay on top of each other, swap positions, feel each other? Surely humans love, as they say, “to watch,” to raise voyeurism up as art. But when left to its own devices, does cinema also experience such base urges? Asked another way: when we say “the movie orgy,” don’t we mean “editing”? Disparate parts colliding with and enveloping one another, penetrating and being penetrated, and finally mutating after coming together? Cinema is transformed by—and transforms (us) through—the spaces between the images. A classier writer might cite Robert Bresson, speaking to Cahiers du cinéma at Cannes in 1957: “The cinema must express itself not with images, but with relationships between images, which is not at all the same thing.” A happy vulgarian—I betray that I am one, as I suspect Joe Dante,...

Zac Efron was a new face in one of Seth Rogen’s raunchy comedies Neighbors. But a fight scene in the film ended up getting out of hand, resulting in Efron slightly injuring himself.
How Zac Efron injured himself in this Seth Rogen comedy Zac Efron | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
Efron didn’t have to audition for the hit comedy Neighbors. Rogen was already very familiar with the actor, and offered Efron the starring role that he gladly accepted. Efron played a wild sorority frat boy living next door to Rogen’s character, which the High School Musical star helped create.
“One thing he was vocal about, which was very smart, was making a movie that wasn’t just critical of fraternity life,” Rogen once told The Hollywood Reporter. “Most of us are nerdy comedy-writer guys, and he’s not, so it was very helpful to have the voice of the other group.

Zac Efron became a household name after starring in Disney’s High School Musical. And although he’s proven to be a capable actor since then with plenty of range, there was one audition that wounded his confidence.

Efron may have achieved success at a very early age, but his road there wasn’t the smoothest. Before High School Musical, he was slowly building his acting credits in shows like Firefly and ER. However, there was one role earlier on that not only eluded him, but devastated him at the time. When he was 15, Efron auditioned for a live action Peter Pan show.

A new deluxe reissue of Nirvana’s In Utero, is out today (October 27th) to coincide with the album’s 30th anniversary.
The original In Utero arrived after Nirvana had already become global superstars, and is thematically characterized by the band’s discomfort with their status, particularly from frontman, Kurt Cobain. Celebrating it on the occasion of its 25th anniversary in 2018, Consequence contributor Ryan Bray praised the album as “arguably the truest representation of what Nirvana was: a massive act with the principles and integrity of one half its size… It’s a difficult but ironclad document of artistic bravery.”
Now, the album is being honored in a whole new fashion. Among the 53 unreleased tracks are two full In Utero-era concerts, including the band’s final performance in Seattle, as well as six bonus live tracks recorded at various shows around the same time. Additionally, the album’s original tracklist,...

Rachel Maddow on Monday night took a moment to examine the state of the Republican Party — first through the lens of the presumed 2024 GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, and second through the lens of other leaders within the party.
Using Arkansas governor and former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders as a case study, the MSNBC host of “The Rachel Maddow Show” determined that “they haven’t exactly been cleaning up on big, political-winning issues just in the current news cycle.”
Maddow took particular issue with Huckabee Sanders’ efforts to end school desegregation settlements and minimize the restrictions of child labor laws in her state.
“Don’t worry, Republicans are in control in Arkansas, and they’re on both those big problems,” Maddow said sarcastically.
Beginning her segment Monday night, Maddow gave a brief recap of how Trumpism has influenced the GOP, looking back to the party’s stuttered,...
