Louis Jordan and his band -- all dressed in military uniforms -- perform the title song in this soundie.
Soundies were videos meant to be played on a sort of jukebox called the Mills Panoram. These were placed in bars, restaurants, night clubs and similar venues. A dime got you whichever one was next in the queue. During the period of their production, roughly 1940-1946, more than two thousand soundies were produced by Mills and other companies. Quite often performers who became prominent made their first screen appearances on these short films: Doris Day and Nat 'King' Cole among them.
The version of the song they perform here sounds to me like the standard one I have in my music collection. Because they used playback and synchronization for voice and instruments in the soundies, it's certainly possible.
