- Bullet reports that Kallie Leeds is now missing and no one seems to have seen her after she left the shelter the previous evening. With Ray Seward opting for execution by hanging, correctional officer Francis Becker begins to review the procedures. Linden is disturbed by some of the coincidences she's found in Ashley Kwan's case and expresses some doubt about Seward's conviction to her former partner James Skinner. He's satisfied they did the right thing but Skinner's wife tells Linden to stay away from them. She next visits Seward's son Adrian who had drawn her a picture which she now recognizes. When she locates the site, she finds something that's quite grim. On death row Seward cons one of the correctional officers, Evan Henderson. into letting him make a phone call, supposedly to his lawyer. Becker is none too pleased and ensures Seward knows exactly what he's in for.—garykmcd
- Open with Linden at the murder scene. She then drops by the station with Ashley's file. She runs into Holder and the two talk about Seward's case. Holder wonders if there is a connection to Ashley's murder. One of Ashley's fingers was broken, post-mortem and he asks about Seward. Linden tells him Seward never took any trophies.
Bullet can't reach Kallie and starts leaving panicky messages. She goes to Calle's mom's place.
We see Lyric with Twitch at the hotel. He's obsessed with going to L.A. and becoming famous. She's saved some money and suggests they have a date that night.
Since Jablonski never got the file, Ashley's murder is now back with Holder and Reddick. Holder tells Reddick he consulted with Linden. On his way out of the station he runs into Bullet, who is asking about Kallie.
Seward asks to call to his lawyer during an unapproved time. He's able to convince a guard named Anderson to let him do it by saying his lawyer is working on giving him one last meeting with his son.
Linden pays a visit to Skinner, who was her partner during the Seward case. He tells her Seward called him earlier that day, inviting him to the execution. Linden tells him that Ashley finger was broken and a ring taken. The same thing happened to Seward's wife. Linden gets in her car to leave. Skinner's wife tells her never to return, making it sound as if the two had an affair.
Linden breaks up with Cody.
Holder and Carl go to see Pastor Mike. He gives them a recent picture of Ashley and tells them about the hotel where the kids occasionally stay.
We see Twitch's final drug test with his parole officer. He tells him about his move to L.A.
Bullet has a run-in with a street tough named Goldie.
Anderson is chewed out for breaking protocol. The other guard reads Seward a description of death by hanging.
Holder talks to the owner of the hotel. The woman references Kallie being there a few nights ago and "cussing up a storm" in the parking lot.
Linden shows Regi the picture Adrian drew and tells her his back-story. Adrian has been in and out of foster homes and she thinks he needs to know the truth.
Linden goes to see Seward. Seward is still upset Skinner called him weak during the trial, which is why he wants him to attend the execution. Linden asks him what he did with his wife's ring. He says he pawned it, but doesn't give her the name of a store. She shows him Adrian's picture and asks why he was drawing it over and over. Seward lowers his head, asks for the guards and says "I don't have a son."
Twitch spent all of Lyric's money on hair dye. Bullet arrives and Twitch says he heard Kallie was with Goldie.
Bullet goes looking for Kallie at Goldie's place. She ends up with his knife at her neck. He pins her to the bed and rapes her.
Linden goes to Adrian's foster home. She learns he's been drawing again since he heard about his father. One of the same pictures is on the wall.
Linden goes to the factory and finds a section of the trees that look identical to Adrian's drawing. She ends up at a body of water that appears to contain bodies in red bags of some kind.
