Great show

Warning: Spoilers
There were some really funny skits in this show and Christoph Waltz was a great host. The writing at times was a little flat and some sketches did drag on for a little too long (Tippy...) but overall it was a great show and the Tarantino spoof and the Pope commercial were pretty funny. I did like the musical guests Alabama Shakes as well although the singer/2nd guitar player looked kinda angry and unhappy. ;-)

Certainly the most solid show of this season and it's a pity that some of the skits from the dress rehearsal didn't make it into the show. If you are a SNL/Waltz fan this is definitely a must see for you. I've been contemplating what kind of a show they could come up with if they had more time for the preparation of the show (writing and rehearsing) but still think they used Christoph Waltz pretty well and gave him enough room to showcase his talents given their time constraints.

Christoph Waltz Rocks!

Warning: Spoilers
I am a huge Christoph Waltz fan and am glad that he has now two Oscars in his mantle, thanks to Quentin Tarentino. As Waltz had a great night and time hosting.

The SNL show in itself, has been pretty weak for the past couple of years and needed a host like Waltz to bring some spice to the show as it scored one of it's highest ratings of the season.

They made fun of Tarentino's spoof of "DJesus UnCrossed" which was the highlight of the night. Despite the fact I am a Christian but still it was funny.

Hope to see Waltz back as host of the show. As he really showed his comedic touch. Though I did not like the sketch of the cruise line thing making fun of people's misery as they nearly lost their lives in real life.

Overall a funny show!

Saturday Night Live Host: Christoph Waltz

Warning: Spoilers
I like the next person was overjoyed when he won his Oscar 3 years ago so it was interesting to see how he would do live. My impressions of his performance is boring because I blame it on both the writers of the show and himself for not really stretching himself. He never really made me laugh compared to the regular cast members which is strange because every host at least makes me laugh. 11 sketches during the show with my favourite being "Djesus Uncrossed" for being even funnier then I ever thought Django Unchained was. The worst sketch of the night as usual was the last one which made no sense to me and felt like a waste of time. Alabama Shakes sung both "Hold On" and "Always Alright", sung both by Brittany Howard it shows she has such great vocals which are quite present in each song which is why I loved the performances by them. With Waltz being disappointing it allowed the supporting cast to shine such as Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong who seem to be the funniest women on the show especially in the case of McKinnon who finally has been given some good lot of material. Average episode with a disappointing Waltz showing only Tarantino can make him laugh.

EPISODE GRADE: D (MVP: Kate McKinnon)
