Karthik could never go wrong in the 90s and this movie reiterates this fact . He is a delight to watch . Wish he had done more such roles. The concept of a good girl is milked to the core .This phrase is used in every other sentence to emphasise domesticity .
He is a carefree playboy of a rich father always drowned in d debauchery .His father Manivannan tries to reform him but fails time and again .
He meets Suvalakshmi ( a homely girl ) living in a hostel who is his employee/ friend's girl friend. He tires to help them get married though he himself is smitten by her beauty and simplicity . She leaves her own arranged marriage and tries to go to her boyfriend. The marriage does not happen and she is left to fend for herself .
Karthik takes her in his house and starts caring for her . Why no one from her family searched for her is not shown .
Slowly and steadily both see good points in each other .Finally he becomes a new leaf . The instances where this man child is confused about his feelings for her and goes to his father and god are of special mention. Both have acted well. Suvalakshmi has a domestic look on her face . Karthik is on top when he acts drunk and comes to office with a hangover . All the roles are etched out very well . Manivannan as a frustrated father evokes sympathy . A really nice movie .The role of the pimp and the first prostitute are to be mentioned specially here Both come across as intelligent humans .Thats very rare for a Tamil movie .
