Best laid plans
ISmellSnow16 September 2023
I think most fans can agree that this has been a slow and boring season so far. The hot springs was a refreshing surprise but is now a boring plot point. The Coulters finally becoming parents was exciting but has fizzled fast. Now it seems like the fans only care about the fate of Elizabeth's love life. Elizabeth is having WAY too many scenes with Nathan, and it's making the McGarries act more strange than ever. They are completely okay with ruining the integrity of the show simply because they have a weird obsession with Kevin McGarry. They think it would be fine for Elizabeth to break off an engagement and erase the past 3 seasons and THAT would make a good show? Please. Shame on the writers if they ever went in that direction. That would be a sure fire way to run the show to the ground and turn it into a soap opera. Let's hope that in Season 11 we get a lot more romantic scenes with the newly wedded Elizabeth and Lucas and less scenes with Elizabeth and whiny Nathan.

Change is in the air

This season is a breathe of fresh air. Elizabeth is back to her pre Season 8 self and I love it. I hated the Elizabeth of Season 8 and 9. She was Hamilton Elizabeth and this season we are getting Hope Valley Elizabeth. I'm sensing a badly needed shift in the direction of this show and I'm so here for it. I'm hoping Elizabeth will realize that her picking Lucas was not out of love but of fear of loving a Mountie again. Lucas and her are too different, they don't want the same life, the don't even see their future's the same. Elizabeth belongs with Nathan and I have hope that is where this season will lead us.

Breaking our hearts...
Arnie-1300715 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, Nathan. You really know how to break our hearts. But finally, finally an honest conversation out of Faith Carter. She's been avoiding, allusive, and weird all season - but finally found something honest to say. Sad, though, that Nathan gets brushed off once again, and we still don't understand or know exactly what happened (too much took place off screen). We can only hope that the "thing in the way" is a certain school teacher, because their scenes together are still the most fiery ones to date.

Quote of the episode goes to Nathan: "I don't know what's wrong with me." Well, Nathan, have to be honest - we don't know what's wrong either - especially with the women in Hope Valley. Because let's be honest, if this was real life, you'd have women lined up outside your door, reaching all the way to Buxton, wherever that is.

I liked the radio storyline and the fact that Fiona can still do anything. What's wrong with the men in town too? Because this woman is a superhero...and looks so smart, beautiful, and feisty, while doing it. We like her so much.

Another character we cannot get enough of is Mike Hickam. Give us more Ben Rosenbaum, please! He's everything funny, entertaining, and interesting that we never knew was missing.
