As I watched this film I was emotionally moved as the subject matter hits home for any and everyone, even if you do not know a soldier in conflict. The film felt very cinema verite, giving the family an authenticity and the multi-racial backgrounds of the actors made it relatable. I did not realize that Mr. Humphries put forth triple duty on this film. I enjoyed his stylistic approach. He did a wonderful job. People around the world are afflicted everyday by conflict and it is my belief that Hollywood will find this subject heavily reflected in the next wave of post-war films. The BBC would be wise to air a project like this. I do hope that this short is turned into a full-length feature soon.
