Slow but well worth it
lakings9713 January 2024
Dr Death: Second Season on Peacock shares the true events surrounding the terrible outcomes of surgeries performed by Paolo Macchiarini. Paolo was played by Edgar Ramirez who did a great job representing a devious person who believed had developed a stem cell trachea replacement but it was never tested in the labs. Paolo did experimental operations on humans and each one failed. The guy was only accused of one count of murder and only served a little over two years in prison. Paolo not only deceived his patients but those who were part of his personal life. The guy spoke more than six languages and he was compared to George Clooney, he thought of myself as being the one and only savior. Mandy Moore played Benita Alexander who fell in love with this con artist to the point that served only to his happiness while destroying the lives of others. Eventually he was discredited in Sweden but yet he continues to use his device around the world. This is so sad that people like this exist and he was a complete psychopath and a fraud. The story started out slow but by the end it got better and intriguing. Again I don't trust doctors and I hope I never end up in a hospital. Definitely worth watching once.

[7.3] To Yesim Cetir - RIP
cjonesas9 March 2024
A slightly underwhelming season 2 with sporadic flow and vibe, some good acting, yes just some with the crown going by a very slight margin to Edgar Ramirez and then "surprisingly" Ashley Madekwe who both performed better than the rest of the regular cast.

The story by itself is of course horrific and shouldn't have happened at all if all necessary infrastructures were in place and my heart goes to all his patients and especially to the stellar episode 5 with an exceptional acting and portrayal by the convincingly talented Alisha Erozer playing the character of Yesim Cetir.

May Dr. Death's "season 3" never ever happen in the real world !
