Intriguing suspense thriller - congratulations to the entire team
karengordon-9762314 April 2024
Drone shots were amazing. I loved Luna. I can relate to her the most.

I found Harper strong but cold. I think the origin of Harold's neurosis could have been developed some more for us to understand his behavior.

Some scenes were dark- when Harold was on the top of the stairs it was a little difficult to see clearly. In parts the background music was too loud to hear the voices.

The acting was pretty good for the most part. I like the character development- they were consistent and relatable.

The audience was left wondering what will happen next.

I look forward to seeing the sequel. Hope it comes out soon.

Misplaced Anger

The filming is beautiful. The scenes are nice, but I think they the music can be a little softer. Very good acting. I love the boldness of of the characters, especially Harper. I love the Hous of Luna. There was quite a lot of suspenseful. Moments acting was superb. I am I just feel that maybe they could've been a little softer so that you could've heard the speaking a bit better.

Harold is brutal. I think he I think he's neurotic just imagine, holding that grudge for some thing that happened so long ago and just following up waiting for his day of revenge Unfortunately, the persons against whom he's acting now had nothing to do with the reason for his grief isn't that something?

Unexpected & Heart Pounding

I went over to my sister's house recently and she had the movie already playing on her TV, about 5 minutes in I believe. I usually don't like watching movies or TV shows with her because we both talk through every film we watch together and we end up miss everything. Yet, by the end, we both noticed we NEVER SAID A WORD during the entire film! I remember we both gasped at certain scenes. We both looked away at other moments (the drill!). We both laughed and we both loved the ending. But, we NEVER SAID A WORD!

Astonishing!

Yes, we know this isn't a Marvel or major network movie but, for what it is, it was a good movie.

Made me think. Harper and Luna - Great job!

This psychological thriller really made me think. Interesting to use the trolley dilemma. The professor did great. Gave good exposition. Is he a professor?

Appreciated Harper's strength and intelligence. Strong female character. If I am in a situation, I pray I have someone of her caliber on my side. Great job Harper! You stayed in character and nailed your role. You are a natural. Wondering if you won any awards for your performance?

Luna and Harper connected. I felt their friendship grow throughout the movie. Luna is a natural also. Love to see them partner up again. This movie left us wonder, what's next?

This movie is definitely worth the watch.

Scratch your psychological thriller itch

Beth Rondeau-Deacon teaming up with director Terrance Gordon for her first foray into movie making is a good watch. Intent Unknown is a psychological thriller dealing with students in a small town who are accidentally pulled into the web of a man with a sinister agenda.

The characters do a good job of coming off as authentic and the story is engaging. What would you do when your psychology experiment goes awry due to the desire for revenge?

I enjoyed watching the movie and look forward to future projects from this team. I recommend giving this movie a watch and supporting small movie makers.

Definitely Recommend!!! Great storyline!
anita-4689819 March 2024
I enjoyed the director's use of voiceover to bring clarity to the narrative. It serves to develop the protagonist's (Harper/Lucy Deacon) character and role in the film, as Harper is the actual narrator. Harper was fearless in the face of danger, and maintained this disposition throughout the film; Lucy played Harper well. The antagonist (Ricky Bartlett) is very believable in his role as the manic and off kilter stranger, Harold. I enjoyed seeing seasoned actor Eric Roberts play opposite actress Julianne Michelle; they had good chemistry on set. I really enjoyed the premise of the film that revolved around the Trolley Dilemma with its psychological and ethical undertones. I would definitely recommend "Intent Unknown!"

HAROLD! WOW!
johnsonmac-7387022 March 2024
I watched the movie with a group online and was very impressed with the guy playing Harold! I believed he could seriously be criminally insane!

For the film as a whole, I liked the cinematography, which is what I do for a living, so I have a different approach to criticizing. The dialogue/storyline were easy to follow, although the beginning was slightly rushed, but still maintained the vibe of the plot.

I do have to say I wasn't crazy about Eric Roberts in this. I think he was overshadowed by the guy playing Harold; or maybe that's what was meant to happen.

I gave this a 10 STAR because I cheer for any disabled actor who can pull off difficult scenes. Yet again, the movie as a whole was good.

A Standout Performance Elevates 'Intent Unknown'
cqxcztwtzz25 April 2024
While "Intent Unknown" may not be groundbreaking in terms of plot or emotional depth, it's Ricky Bartlett's performance that truly makes it a film worth watching. His portrayal is both believable and captivating, standing starkly in contrast to a backdrop where other performances sometimes falter. The movie struggles occasionally with the believability of its emotional arcs, making certain scenes challenging to engage with fully. Despite these moments, Bartlett's presence and skill provide a strong anchor, adding layers to his character that enrich the film significantly. For those appreciative of skilled acting, his performance alone might be a compelling reason to watch.
