Update: In a strongly worded statement to the media, Diddy (aka Sean Combs) and his lawyer called the Homeland Security raids a “witchhunt.” Here’s a statement via his attourney Aaron Dyer:
“There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated. Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way. This unprecedented ambush — paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence — leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits. There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent...

Facing multiple accusation of rape and sex trafficking, Sean “Diddy” Combs saw his homes in L.A. and Miami raid Monday by the federal government.
“Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from Hsi Los Angeles, Hsi Miami, and our local law enforcement partners,” a spokesperson for the federal agency told Deadline. “We will provide further information as it becomes available.”
There is no official confirmation that Combs, aka Diddy, is the direct target of the investigation. However, a well placed law enforcement source tells Deadline that Combs is “at the center of their actions” today. The US Attorney’s office in the Southern District of New York are also involved in the matter, with a possible criminal case being put together, I hear.

After music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones Jr. accused Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexually harassing and assaulting him, Combs is pushing back hard at the allegations.
Late last month, Jones, who had worked with Combs on his most recent studio album, The Love Album: Off the Grid, filed a lawsuit against the rap mogul in U.S. federal court for the southern district of New York.
The producer claimed that Combs “forcibly touched and attempted and/or threatened to touch [Jones’] intimate areas and/or touched [Jones] with his own intimate body parts” while they worked on The Love Album: Off the Grid.
He also accused Combs and his associates, including his son, Justin Combs, his chief of staff at Combs Global Enterprises, of participating in “a sex-trafficking venture.”
“Justin Combs categorically denies these absurd allegations,” a representative for Justin Combs said in a statement. “They are all lies! This is a...

The last time Sean Combs’ music competed at the Grammys, a then-unknown Mark Zuckerberg had just created Facebook, Nipplegate occurred at the Super Bowl and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King garnered a record-tying 11 Oscars. It was 2004, and Combs, aka Diddy, won best rap performance by a group or duo — his third Grammy — for the thumping hit “Shake Ya Tailfeather,” featuring Nelly and Murphy Lee. The track appeared on the Bad Boys II soundtrack, which Diddy executive produced and released on his Bad Boy label.
So his return to the Grammys, two decades later with a nomination for best progressive R&b album for his The Love Album: Off the Grid, is a major feat — and a proud moment for the artist. Some would even call the nomination a win (though we should note that there is zero chance his album can compete with Sza’s...

Netflix is expanding its romance TV brand from the California Redwoods setting of Virgin River to Texas Hill Country with Ransom Canyon, a new drama series headlined by Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly.
Like hit Virgin River, an adaptation of Robyn Carr’s novels, the new series, from writer, creator and executive producer April Blair, is based on a contemporary romance book series, Jodi Thomas’ Ransom Canyon.
Also following the blueprint of Virgin River, headlined by Martin Henderson and Alexandra Breckenridge, Ransom Canyon has a duo of well known TV stars with fan following as its romantic leads in Duhamel and Kelly.
“It’s a multi-generational family show set on a ranch, and we say it’s Virgin River meets Yellowstone,” Jinny Howe, Netflix’s Head of Drama, Development, told Deadline in August 2022 about Ransom Canyon, a romance-fueled family drama...
