As her parents' marriage breaks down teenager Mia is sent to stay in the Provence with an old friend of her mother's. Mia arrives to a welcoming Dominique and her daughter of the same age Heloïse, who is less than thrilled. Blaming Mia for not getting the summer she wanted, Heloïse amuses herself by antagonising the guest. When their feelings inevitably boil over, the girls discover they have more in common than just workaholic mothers and absentee fathers. When a parent unexpectedly arrives, the household is drawn together to confront of the past, the present and the future.
