- Begbie steals a bag of Viagra from a refrigerator and walks into a men's pub room to take a Viagra pill. An erection on his pants is later briefly shown.

- A man lies in bed with a woman who emerges from under the blanket, presumably after giving oral sex.
- Veronika is briefly shown topless in one scene. Renton's buttocks are shown in one scene.
- A man forces Simon and Renton to remove all their clothes and run naked to a farm. There is full-frontal nudity from a distance. Simon and Renton are later shown wearing towels.
- Simulated sexual activity is shown multiple times, but it is brief every time.
- The film contains a few scenes that feature hidden-camera recordings of sexual activity between a prostitute and her clients, as seen from a laptop screen. In these recordings, the woman is seen wearing a strap-on dildo, with some of the clients' genitalia seen.
- One of the stronger scenes shows her walking towards a man with her strapped-on dildo, before she positions herself behind the man and is seen to thrust against the man from the back.

- Heroin use isn't as frequent in this movie as it was in the original.
- Drug taking sequences are shown, but instructive details of illegal drug use are not. The film also does not promote or encourage drug and substance abuse in any fashion.
- The film contains frequent depictions of characters abusing drugs, including cutting and snorting cocaine, tying their arms with tourniquets and injecting the drug into their veins.
- Though the scenes of drug use are frequent, the film does not promote nor glamorize drug consumption, as it depicts the negative consequences on the characters' lives and personal relationships.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
