Going Underground
Hitchcoc27 March 2021
A young guy is murdered in a wooded area near the desert. His hands have been cut off and he has been brutalized. Investigation leads to a guy who has created a living space underground. He is arrested and then the fun starts. As a bit of survivalist, all kinds of evidence points to him as the killer; but it's much more complicated than that. There are some things that are pretty hard to believe, but it makes for a good story, nevertheless.

The Underground Shelter
claudio_carvalho5 December 2023
A teenager is found dead, wrapped in a camouflage canvas. Nick and Morgan note that he was beaten on the face, had an animal bite on his leg, a knee brace and both hands were severed. Sara accesses a traffic camera with Russell and they see that a man with camouflage clothing and night-vision googles dumped his body. Finn finds an origami in one of his pockets. They track the knee brace and the owner is Dylan Trigg. Morgan and Det. Lawrence go to his house and his father tells them that Dylan is alive at home. Dylan recognizes his friend Carl Abrams that borrowed his motocross to camp alone at Koval Ridge to explore the mines. Nick and Morgan search the area with Sam and find an underground shelter in the middle of the desert. They arrest the owner and soon the CSIs find evidence that Carl died inside. Who is the man and why Carl was killed?

"Sheltered" is an episode of "CSI" with a good story. The reason why Carl Abrams was murdered and the killer are only disclosed in the very end, but the investigation is interesting. Kate Danson, who performs the lawyer Jill Mcdermott, is the daughter of Ted Danson and Casey Danson and the stepdaughter of Mary Steenburgen. My vote is eight.
