champion mentality of bengali's unfold in good cinematic manner

To be Frank I was not expecting much from this movie .. I just went to watch because of sports genre movie rarely made in recent time in tollywood...It started at slower pace but the pace and screenplay was keep on increasing step by step as the movie goes around .. I knew about master Surya sekhar Ganguly's Arjuna award but the movie unfolds many more other things which I didn't know about master Surya sekhar ..the thing I liked the most about this movie is that It depicts about Bengalis champion mentality to achieve something big and to think differently which somehow missing these days in bangali .. beautifully presented the typical bangaliana and last but not the least casting of this movie was soo good that it will give you a perfect satisfaction overall ..bgm sometimes feel little bit over dramatic and heavy but just a little bit ..otherwise every part of this movie is very well made ..

Great movie

I watched a special screening of the movie at Nandan Cinema Hall. I really loved the movie. On various occasions during the movie I could sense tears rolling down my cheeks. The movie is a complete entertainer. All the actors, especially Rituparna Sengupta are simply awesome. The child actor who played the role of young Souro is so adorable and cute. The actor playing the role of Souro's grandfather steals the show. The sets of the movie reflecting North Kolkata is superb. The love story in between is so refreshing. The movie has humour, action, romance and a very lovely and inspiring message. In simple words, this movie is a must-watch for cinegoers of all ages. Trust me, you will never regret watching this masterpiece.

A few days ago, Anurag Kashyap levels Bengali cinema 'Ghatiya' during his visit to Kolkata Film Festival. The maker of 'Dabaru' proved his point with responsibility. First of all this movie has no genre. I think the story inspired by Surya Sekhar Ganguly's life. But ... At least the story comes with so much cinematic potential, it's the treatment and execution that falter at ground level. It's mercilessly slaughtered by some shoddy writing and equally cringe-worthy execution of the script. Be it the unnecessary characters, so many unnecessary subplots or the lack of both depth - Pathikrit Basu's film is an absolute blunder. The film is a farce, as aptly proved by the laughter in theatres every single time a character threw a dialogue. 1st half was comparatively better, but 2nd half of the film blunder the whole story. Too much background music makes the film cheaper. There are a lot of good actors in this movie but awful direction and rubbish script and storyline make this movie spoil of time. This director should be requested from refraining from making any further movies.
