Pop icon Britney Spears has shared a post on Instagram, in which she posed in a red floor-length one-shoulder gown and celebrated some end-of-the-year festivities. “Merry Halloween Christmas New Years Thanksgiving (sic)”, Spears — who released her memoir, ‘The Woman in Me’, last month — wrote in her caption, reports People magazine.
In the clip, the ‘Circus’ singer smiled and twirled around her home’s living area, where a lit-up Christmas tree could be seen behind her.
Spears’ latest video was shared after her memoir sold 1.1 million copies in its first week of sales. According to Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, the total sums up pre-orders, ebooks, print books and audiobook formats.
As per People, the audiobook version of the memoir, in which Spears voices the introduction and actress Michelle Williams narrates the rest of the book, is the fastest-selling audiobook in the publisher’s history, Gallery Books added.

‘Thor: Love & Thunder’ is the latest installment in the ‘Thor’ movie series. Despite the movie featuring the grand return of Thor following ‘Endgame’ and a grand cast of characters, including a fairly-known villain from the comics, the movie wasn’t as successful as it was hoped, mostly due to its cringy humor and waste of a potentially magnificent storyline.
Still, one good thing came out of the movie, and that was Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor. As a reminder, Jane is sick with cancer, and in a last-ditch attempt to save her life, she starts wielding Mjolnir but gets more than she bargained for as she goes on on an epic adventure with Thor battling against Gorr the God Butcher, who has beef to settle with pretty much every god in the universe. But, the movie doesn’t have a cheery ending as its overall atmosphere seems to be,...

There's an endless debate between film fans on what it is exactly that makes a film "camp." For some, it's a shorthand to mean "so bad, it's good," while others (like myself) view it as a sacred form of presentation. Camp films are often exaggerated to the point of absurdity, tiptoeing the line of the uncanny, and with a sense of humor that is either unintentionally brilliant or delivered with tongue planted firmly in cheek. Of my 15 favorite movies of all time, more than half of the titles could be argued as camp classics. While there are plenty of universally understood camp films, the intentional lack of a formal metric means that a film's camp status will change from viewer to viewer, determined by vibes and a "you know it when you see it" attitude.
My first camp film was Tim Burton's oft-maligned alien comedy,...

Michael Myers is the embodiment of evil. Freddy Krueger is a vengeful dream demon. Jason Voorhees is killing at the behest of his mother. And Freddy Fazbear is ... well, why are Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Foxy the Fox, and Chica the Chicken (with Mr. Cupcake) so hellbent on killing people? "Five Nights at Freddy's" is a horror franchise spawned off of the popular video game series from Scott Cawthon, now entering the world of live-action adaptation with a feature film from Blumhouse Productions and Universal Pictures.
"FNaF" boats a fandom that rivals any of the icons of horror's yesteryear, and contains a sprawling lore across 13 games and over 30 books. For those not in the know, "Five Nights at Freddy's" is known as "that game where Chuck E. Cheese-like animatronics come to life and kill you," but few outside of...

In 2016, John le Carré published a memoir called “The Pigeon Tunnel,” which the late spy novelist — who died in late 2020 — claims had been the working title of nearly all his books at some point. For le Carré, the term describes the passage through which naive birds of sport were forced from their nests, only to emerge as targets for marksmen waiting with rifles poised at a hotel in Monte Carlo. That’s just one of several metaphors Le Carré uses to communicate his cynical worldview in a playful portrait from Errol Morris, whose career-long interest in truth and delusion fits his subject so well, the whole film ultimately feels like a bit of a ploy.
For starters, there was no such person as John le Carré, a pseudonym adopted by David Cornwell, an Oxford-educated ex-spy who turned to literature to process the absurdity of England’s so-called “intelligence” industry, which Cornwell slyly dubbed “the Circus.

Halloween isn't just for children. That's why whenever scary season rolls around, you need a music playlist that keeps everyone in mind - from the kids who love the latest ghoulish Disney Channel Original Movie musical to those who got down to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" when it first came out in the '80s.
That's also why you have to get creative when it comes to the spooky songs you choose for your Allhallows' Eve playlists. If you only include songs that are explicitly Halloween-themed, like "Monster Mash" by Bobby "Boris" Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers or "This Is Halloween" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas," the tunes could get stale real quick. So remember to work in music that has Halloween vibes, too.
Jimin's "Filter" may not strike you as a Halloween song at first but with lyrics like, "I can be your genie / How about Aladdin? / I'll be...

Once Upon a One More Time will play its final Broadway performance Sept. 3.
The musical, which features the songs of Britney Spears and a storyline about fairytale princesses in search of enlightenment, began preview performances at the Marquis Theatre on May 13 and opened June 22. Spears approved the musical and suggested its initial themes. She also signed an underlying rights agreement with the show, which was notably one of the first deals Spears signed since a judge terminated her conservatorship.
The closing notice comes as the musical failed to catch on with critics and with Broadway audiences, with the show reporting capacities in the 50 percent range for the past seven weeks. In the last publicly reported week of grosses, ended Aug. 13, the musical grossed its lowest eight-performance week yet, bringing in $512,008.
Producers James. L Nederlander and Hunter Arnold said there are currently plans underway for a national tour and international productions of the show,...

The 19 songs on Travis Scott’s comeback album Utopia weren’t enough content for him. Nearly a month after its release, the rapper has expanded the world of the album with four new music videos. The visual release, dropped all at once on YouTube, includes “Hyaena,” “Sirens,” “Modern Jam,” and “Delresto (Echoes),” which features vocal contributions from Beyoncé. All four clips have been ripped from a much larger project: the 75-minute long companion film Circus Maximus, now available in full on YouTube after a brief theatrical release and Apple Music premiere.

Warner Bros.’ “Barbie” and Universal’s “Oppenheimer” continued ruling the U.K. and Ireland box office for a fourth consecutive weekend.
Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” topped the charts yet again with £4.4 million ($5.6 million) for a total of £78.2 million, per numbers from Comscore. The film is the No. 1 grosser in the territory for 2023 by some distance, surpassing Universal’s “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.”
Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” held on solidly to the second position with £3.1 million for a total of £47.7 million. It remains the third highest grossing film of the year above Disney’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.”
In its second weekend Warner Bros.’ “The Meg 2” collected £1.5 million in third place for a total of £7.5 million. Sony’s “Gran Turismo” debuted in fourth position with £1.05 million.
Rounding off the top five was another debut, Disney’s “Haunted Mansion,” with £990,084.
There were two other debuts in the top 10, both from India.

Almost two years ago, rapper Travis Scott and the entertainment company A24 revealed they were working together on a mysterious project – and they made this revelation by sharing a picture of a script that had blood and coffee stains on it, with the title obscured. One of those projects is called Circus Maximus, which Scott directed alongside the likes of Harmony Korine (Kids), Gaspar Noé (Irreversible), Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive), Valdimar Jóhannsson (Lamb), and music video director Kahlil Joseph.
