Awful attempt to create a mystery, the writer and director need to go back to school
mukim2427 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A miserable attempt o create an intense story line with too many loopholes. A pathetic story teller, such low quality story telling, it's simply disgraceful. A girl was raped and murdered, and all the protests are happening after 2 years. What the hell happened in these 2 years? Such a high profile case, the girlfriend and wife had no idea about the victim and the stories behind that! Why would a wife scream, let's break up! It feels like writer was actually on drugs when he was writing, there is absolutely no coherence in the story line. These type of mediocre stories deserve no review at all, but could not help writing just because of all the hype created by mainstream media.

Thousands of plot loopholes! Haphazardly made story with unnecessary length!!
jafarsadikchy12 August 2023
A failed attempt to articulate mystery with unnecessarily lengthy story and thousands of loopholes in plot. The director and producer seem to be immature in making the series. The worst ever series on any OTT of Bangladesh. I would suggest Chorki to avoid this kind of content in future. So that they can maintain their quality. A complete failure I must say.

After 5 episodes you will be so disgusted with the story and its length. There is no twist at the end. You can see the haphazard plot easily beforehand and it would kill your enthusiasm. Some characters are kept untouched till 7th Episode, just to make the plot annoyingly lengthier. So noring!

A Failed Attempt to Portray a Failed Society
iknafilms12 July 2023
Extrajudicial killings have become a burning topic in Bangladesh lately. They prove that the law and justice system of a supposedly free country has utterly failed. This series delves into the dark connection between extrajudicial killings and sensitive issues like rape. Inspired by true events, it unveils the complexities of real-life victims, the tragic injustice prevailing in society, the enigma of serial killers, and the ruthless political game exploiting it all. Sadly, beyond this compelling backdrop, the series disappoints in every aspect. Poor editing, miscasting, weak storytelling, and dreadful dialogue ruin Mercules, making it a huge letdown. Despite delivering Sabila Noor's second-best performance, the rest of the show's flaws drag her down.

Please do not make such mediocre thrillers only to be trendy and make profits

Warning: Spoilers
Sadly, the entire thing was a total waste of time. The story had dozens of inconsistencies. Fazlur Rahman Babu's performance is the only positive thing I found, but I am surprised he consented to work on this script.

The script itself is a colossal flop. Out of thousands, I am providing just three examples of script failures:

1. They showed a police anti-rape unit, but they were preoccupied with hunting the killer of the possible rapists the entire time. What, after all, are the other departments of the Police doing?

2. The wife is unaware of the accusations made against her husband, which were a national concern. For real?

3. How conveniently the victims are always found in similar, peaceful areas, making it easy to kill them.

If the director and producer consider continuing the show, I strongly urge them not to.
