Night People is an Irish anthology horror – comprising of three tales – from writer and director Gerard Lough. Clearly made on a low budget, that doesn’t dampen the enthusiasm and vision that Lough has pumped into the film.
Starting in a manner reminiscent of recent anthology horror V/H/S, two shifty types break into a house with a plan to burn it to the ground. While they wait for their window of opportunity, they entertain themselves by telling creepy stories. Each takes a turn, which forms the first and second stories of the anthology, and the wrap up with our two protagonists forms the third tale.

Two thieves tell each other eerie stories to pass the time in Gerard Lough’s Night People, a new anthology film hitting VOD on May 9th. For our latest Q&A feature, we caught up with Lough to discuss the making of his directorial feature film debut.

The first teaser trailer for new Irish film, Night People has gone online. The movie marks the feature film directorial debut for Gerard Lough. Shot between August 2013 and August 2014, the movie follows the story of a pair of thieves who break into a house with a dark past. Their story soon intertwines with two other sinister tall tales. Starring Michael Parle, Jack Dean Shepherd, Claire Blennerhassett, Sarah Louise Carney, Aidan O'Sullivan and Eoin Leahy, Night People is due for release in 2015.

Lough's other work includes acclaimed short films The Boogeyman, an adaption of Stephen King's story of the same name, and futuristic thriller Ninety Seconds. Night People is set for release in 2015.
