EXQUISITE. The most adorable glittering animation of the season, maybe not of all time. With its brilliant characters, storyline, and mood, this cartoon will make you feel hopeful about the world and cheer up even the worst of days (pun intended). Add a dash of "yuri".

Naturally, not everyone or at all enjoys this kind of animation. I will suggest this anime to those who: enjoy these genres generally; need some warmth right now; or need some happy-go-lucky anime to brighten your mood. Though this episode does contain some drama, rest assured that it always resolves and ends in a heartwarming, wholesome manner.

This anime is quite unique just by virtue of its exceptional production value. The best anime production quality to date, since Bochi the Rock revolutionized the genre, is this humorous slice-of-life series. Everything about it-the voice acting, the score, and the animation-is excellent, flawless, and deserving of recognition.

This anime does a fantastic job with its overall vibe as well. Everything is done with care, love, and determination by the crew, from the characters to the setting to the soundtrack that makes you feel wonderful. The vibrant and colorful art style perfectly complements the show's tone. Additionally, the soundtrack is really well done and is amusing, eerie, and emotional.

Stardust Telepath

Umika Konohoshi is a school girl whose interest in aliens and science fiction leave her isolated and somewhat shy. She dreams of going into space one day and meeting aliens. Then one day she meets Yuu Akeuchi, a girl who claims to be an alien. She says she has lost her memory but can tell what others are feeling by touching foreheads. Umika determines to help Yuu get back home; to this end they start a rocketry club along with class vice president Haruno and Matataki, a tomboy with a penchant for engineering.

This is a sweet little series. I loved the fact that it is far from obvious whether or not Yuu really is an alien; other classmates just think she is a little odd. The story moves at a gentle pace, there may be no sense of danger but things very get boring. The characters are just a delight to watch as is their interest in homemade rockets. The characters are likeable and their designs are good. The animation is also of a high standard. Overall I'd certainly recommend this to anybody wanting a gentle anime series with no inappropriate content.

These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.
