Sex & Nudity

  • Two adult characters are interested in each other. Their relationship is hardly touched on for the first three seasons, and they just hug occasionally. In season four, however, their relationship is ramped up a bit. At one point, the couple ducks into a narrow alleyway to hide from pursuers, and the man comments on how long it's been since they ever got to spend time alone together. They then nearly kiss, but are interrupted. Later in the season, they actually do kiss a couple of times, and at the end of the show, it's revealed that the female character later had a child (although she was never married to her love interest).
  • A will-they-won't-they romance is hinted at between the two main teenage leads, but they eventually grow to see each other as strong friends instead.
  • In the first season, a young teen boy flirts occasionally with a girl a couple of years older than him. She just sees him as an annoying kid and isn't interested in him at all.

Violence & Gore

  • The lightsaber fights are very intense often having characters in peril
  • A group of people are shown killed
  • This show isn't as violent or dark as it's predecessor (Star Wars: the Clone Wars), but it has its moments of being violent
  • Most episodes include fighting scenes, which include the deaths of many Stormtroopers. It is quick and nothing graphic is shown. In the episode "Path of the Jedi", Ezra has a hallucination where all of the rebels die, including Kanan being stabbed by the Inquisitor. It all ends up being fake, but is still really intense.
  • In the episode "Call to Action," two characters are executed via beheading by a lightsaber. The actual act is off screen, but their pained and surprised expressions can be briefly seen while the commander watches with a sick expression on his face.
  • Sometimes animals attack characters.

Profanity

  • Occasional use of the word "bloody", in the vein of the original Star Wars trilogy.
  • There is a distorted WTF at one point.
  • None (English). This is a Disney show, however, the term 'Karabast' which is a Lasat expression can be misinterpreted as a swear word.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some people and aliens can be seen drinking at a bar.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Antagonists such as Darth Vader, the Inquisitor and Thrawn, and several alien creatures may be scary and intimidating for younger viewers
