Apologies to those two who were actually required to think during this episode...and apparently failed.

Warning: Spoilers
Surprisingly, with the plethora of Star Trek shows, sci-fi movies and television, and especially EVERY MOVIE MARVEL HAS MADE FOR THE PAST 2 DECADES, some people still have trouble grasping the concept of parallel universes. For those having trouble keeping up, I will attempt to explain what (I at least) have discerned.

She has obviously switched places with her other self from a parallel dimension. In the other one she had a red car, in this one it's blue. She didn't have an affair in the other one, in this one she did. Her daughter spoke swedish in the other one, in this one not. The old Russian lady died in space in the other one, in this one not. The old American walked on the moon in the other one, in this one not. (He is in Germany at the ESA in this universe, and on a cruise ship off the coast of America throwing journalists overboard in the other one) I hope everyone is catching on now.

From what I was originally understanding, the phenomena of briefly interacting between these 2 dimensions is something they're conveying happens to anyone who has ever left Earth's atmosphere. Or so I thought, until the daughter started seeing things from the other universe as well. Unless they explain this by the mother having just gotten pregnant before going up on a previous mission (which I'm pretty sure astronauts are repeatedly checked for that amongst everything else before going up). So yeah, I'll admit I'M actually a little thrown off on that part (and the janitor guy briefly seeing her for a split second). That, and I couldn't tell if the old American was talking into a mirror, or found a way to communicate with his other self on his laptop. Oh, and apparently the space agencies are quite familiar with (at least) the confusion that is caused by this and secretly doses the astronauts with Lithium.

Definitely still a lot more explaining to be done, but the "jist" of what's happening I didn't think was THAT hard to follow.

-oh! Lol, just now realized she apparently died in the other universe, which is why the daughter saw the funeral for a second, and the janitors were cleaning out her office. I guess the second tape recording was her burning up.

Still pretty curious to see what will happen next...

Curious

I'm loving the entire series so far. It can be challenging to follow, but a little effort pays off. I really wanted to write this review to ask what the end theme music is. It's a charming female duet and I love it. Despite my best efforts, I can't find any reference to it. I have tried to capture the lyrics here:

------ Knock on the sky, Paint out the sun Follow the sound beneath me

Let others spark, Flutter and die Sever the ties completely

I'll watch for you, wait for you, reach for you, out on your own Stay close to me, patiently, shadow me, silently making your way Back home -----

I'd love a full version of this. Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to watching the next episode. Can we have more TV like this? Some proper 'thinking' stuff!

Warning: Spoilers
The piece is called Lullaby: Just use Shazam or ask Siri to identify the song. The entire series soundtrack is on Apple Music and Lullaby is the last track in its entirety.

BTW, I just finished episode 6, excellent one: For those still confused or those who refuse to think or notice the small details, it clearly explains what's going on. The CAL experiment causes the switch of Jo and Paul to parallel universes so they find different homes, cars of different colors, a wife that goes by a different name...

Jo from reality B (in which Paul's wife is indeed Ericka) steals the CAL canister in reality A still unsure if this has anything to do with the mixup, but she may be onto something: Will she be able to return to reality B where Alice does speak sweetish? And maybe switch Paul to reality A back to his wife Frida?

But the fact that Jo, from B, knew about the CAL experiment in A and saw Paul performing it before the canister's activation and mixup of realities is just weird, nonsense so far...

I'll surely be glued to my screen to see what happens!

Poor souls who dislike this.

Ok, I get now why some people diss this show, it requires them to, God forbid, THINK! This is an awesome show, already shaping up to be among the top five in my entire 67 year old life, but then again, I am used to thinking, as a lifelong sci-fi fan, and to confront concepts which are not always easy to digest.

BUT.. people who write scathing reviews, commenting on the show's "lack of creativity," really need to take a serious course in writing. This show is brilliantly conceived and executed, and is going to be regarded as a classic in coming years. Let's just hope it doesn't overstay its welcome and drag on and on. Three seasons MAX!

Deal with it.

Warning: Spoilers
I think a lot of people giving this show low scores want immediate answers and instant gratification and that is clearly not what this show is going for. This is not going to be a simple story with highs and lows, it is going to be a thrill ride.

Not every aspect of this program is going to be perfect, and it isn't, as we saw here. But the absurdity of the cupboard hiding and what exactly is going on is a mystery that we are going to keep our eyes as the year progresses.

I have my reservations, but overall this show is an easy watch and I look forward to seeing what the master plan is for the end.

Wow, this show takes a nosedive

Warning: Spoilers
Let's just start off by saying kids and serious space productions are a bad mix. Whatever simple exposition you gain by having to explain complex ideas to a child you lose by having it dumbed down to the simplest idea and add in kid drama.

The child actor in this show is a driving force and central character, and it gets old fast. From the nagging/whining/screaming maybe they should have thought about trimming up the focus a bit, it's not mean as an after school special.

As for the grown up ideas and different time lines, it just gets bizarre quickly. Zero accountability from actions in the previous episode on the cruise ship. More science talk of explaining and re-explaining superposition particles to yet another professor. It's getting old.

Then lets add that the husband is seeing someone else. Then lets also add in that the wife astronaut is also having an affair, and of course can't remember.

This show jumped the shark already. God Awful. I didn't sign on for. I checked the writers, and one of them wrote Nip/Tuck, which seems about right. Maybe it's the Real Housewives of Nasa.

1/10 on this garbage episode. I'm done, can't stand it anymore. Rehash space science stuff for 10mins, and fill in the rest with drama and kids.

Can you give it a zero

I said it was going to be horrible and it's actually worse than horrible. I guess I didn't think it was going to get that bad. I think the writers were on drugs when they wrote this. Maybe LSD or some shrooms or something. I tuned in just to see how bad it would get and haven't seen something this bad in a very long time. Nothing makes sense because people can't be in a super position and observers don't change quantum states. Basic QM not even correct. The show writers just don't care, the director doesn't care, and the actors have no clue what there supposed to be doing or acting like. One of the worst abominations I've seen in the history of TV.
