A favorite song of mine ever since I first heard it on "The People Vs. Larry Flynt", and it stayed with me over the decades. Those surreal keyboards and synthesizers plus the drums in the background always fascinated me yet I never paid much attention to the lyrics until
recently (plus some research as well on some sites). It's pretty good as well, a very spiritualized song about someone having great and magical
experiences during sleep time, if we put in a simplistic way since I don't have the gift of poetry to describe it beyond the great poetry of
Gary Wright.
Can't judge much about the video since it's one of those music videos made before they become a trend with amazing concepts and all. Here, despite the poor image quality given to the version available today, it's a basic performance of Wright and his band, his name appears with gigantic letters on the top of the stage, blue-ish tones permeate the visuals and you barely see the drummer and the dancers on the corner. We're only in it thanks to the song, a true classic from the 1970's. 7/10.
