The dark night of the soul traces back to the book/poem by St. John Of The Cross. This is a state where one feels hopelessness, meaninglessness, spiritual dryness, all alone and even betrayed. This is tragically the case with many people not just in the US but all over the world. I'm telling this story to show people you are not alone. Others are struggling like you. There is hope. Knowing you are not alone can be a comfort. Transformation and rebirth happens as we pass through our journey of dark times. It's only a season of time. It's a season of growth. There is hope. "The endurance of darkness is the preparation for great light ."St. John of the Cross"
