It's time for the annual Cedar Cove bachelor auction to support the local animal rescue, with the rule that there is only one purchase per customer. Many of the regulars are putting themselves up for auction, while some new to Cedar Cove, such as Jack, have no intention of participating as auction items, preferring to support the cause by pure hard cash or in-kind donations. But each of Jack, Cliff, Seth and John all ultimately agree to be put up for auction, all who expect to be purchased by Olivia, Grace, Justine and Maryellen respectively. All four men somewhat know the wanted end result, but not quite the plan. Justine was able to convince John to participate so that he could end up with Maryellen, but so that she would not put herself out there for John so openly, Justine would buy John, while Maryellen would buy Seth. And Olivia convinced Cliff to be put up for auction to give Grace the nudge she needed to start dating him, as she has no idea he is in the auction. If Grace doesn't end up bidding for Cliff, Olivia vowed she would bid on him to gift to Grace, while Olivia in turn would get Charlotte to bid on Jack for her. But as they say about best-laid plans - Meanwhile, Stan, who has just started therapy to deal with the problems in his life ever since Jordan's death, asks Olivia if she would attend a session with him. Their joint therapy is meant to provide some insight on the break-up of their marriage in relationship to Jordan's death. The therapy may have some unexpected consequences, both in terms of the revelations as well as their aftermath.
