The year 1921. Radoslaw Figiel is a young, talented doctor, an exemplary husband, a veteran who returned from the war unscathed. His decadent fate is interrupted by the outbreak of plague in the city. The sight of omnipresent death and disease, human misfortune and suffering, has an unexpected impact on Figel's life.
