Was reading another review that complained that the actors were too tall as ancient people were smaller (did they want the entire cast to be bolivians?), the battle scene was pretty lame and unhistorical and then went on for 3 paragraphs about macedoian sarissa pikemen. Agreed about the battle, was very messy and felt small. They mentioned that cavalry was important and you could kinda see pikemen maybe in the background but just felt very lame and not well made. Feels amaturish and made the stakes feel low. Also alexander was brutal no problems with that but alexander in the show executes the captured greeks on the persian side when actually he sent them back as slaves. Also that terible curved sword the perisan kind had
There were in a way more things to like in this episode though, alexander and hephaestion's visit to the tomb of achilles who he looked up to a lot, and the fact that alexander actually seemed to have some gravitas. They included how reckless alexander could be to. Some of the persian clothing was better in this episode to. Still same general problems as the last episode.
