We All Saw That Coming
wrenleung27 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
*SPOILERS* Blake, a minor character with no storyline, shows up a few episodes ago. There must be a story arc somewhere. Yep, Maggie is considering IVF (to get pregnant). Blake puts Maggie as her emergency contact and names her a guardian. Blake gets sick and needs surgery. And you can predict the rest. This makes it easy for writers because now Maggie has a child without having to get pregnant and miss out on all the action in future episodes.

Nobody in the Green Solutions office died or got sick from the gas that, as you can see, was all over the place. Also, none of the FBI agents thought about wearing masks, knowing that the poisonous gas is the villain's weapon.

Overall, still an entertaining episode.

Held my interest despite the obvious flaws
CrimeDrama125 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I will never understand CBS crime drama writers. Don't they have access to current or former FBI agents who can explain how situations are really handled? With two people already dead, why wasn't it a "shoot on site" order? I understood that the biggest risk with the aerosolized Ricin attacks was getting sprayed directly. The gas dissipated quickly. Respirators/gas masks and even regular face covering can affect our breathing efficiency, speech and vision. The one situation I didn't understand was Charlotte Sullivan's character (Special Agent Jessica Blake) going into the suspected attacker's apartment without a respirator. I would have thought that a HAZMAT crew would've been called immediately. It turned out that she wasn't exposed to Ricin but had an aneurism and subsequently died because of it. I'm sure Dick Wolf and company would explain that they wanted Maggie Bell and her desire to be a mother - to become bigger and help drive the show. They didn't seem to care how they got there. Although it wasn't clear who would take custody of Blake's daughter after her death. Bell and Blake were best friends. I hope it doesn't become a custody battle between Bell and Blake's ex (baby daddy). Note: I submitted this review before watching subsequent episodes on Paramount Plus.

One Dumb Episode
ladyberyl-127 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I absolutely love this series and would normally rate an episode at least "7" but not this time. This episode had the team acting irresponsibly and just plain dumb. The team knows that the baddie is spraying a toxic substance and wears a respirator to keep him safe but they give chase to the baddie who is actively spaying the material without any protection for themselves. One team member identified the baddie as the one wearing a respirator. Later, the entire team goes into a building to stop the mass destruction without respirators. At one point, I wanted the baddie to spray them in the face. I know the show runners want their actors' lovely faces to be visible but a brief time with them covered would make sense and not insult the intelligence of the audience. Do better.

This show has really gone downhill....
xdevilutionx1 April 2024
Wow. This show has taken a turn for the worse. This episode was so unrealistic on how agents would respond to threats (i.e., no agents were wearing respirators?!?!?!?). I don't know if this show is watchable anymore.

I watched Law & Order when I was younger, but I stopped because it was so much propaganda. This is what FBI has become too.

This episode -- and really this season -- was so poorly written that I fear the show has jumped the shark, so to speak. The show has never been extremely realistic, but this is another level. I do not know if there has been a change in the writer's room, but the producers should be ashamed.

Waste of a Guest Star?
JasonSterling2928 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
As the episode went on I knew I would have to leave a review. I think the premise was a good one "Ego Terrorist". The directing was abysmal honestly. If there is one thing I hate about TV it's reluctance to follow common sense and the chain of command (for a different day).

None of the agents wore masks and this scenario and others presented in the show is a job for FBI S. W. A. T or HRT(Same thing?). I know that it would be foolish to pay actors just for them to be usurped by extras but extras do add real value to TV and so does realism which I see time and time again S. W. A. T. can offer to this show.

S. W. A. T should have been in total control of finding and neutralizing the threat in Green Solution. I think the agents and S. W. A. T. can work better to add the appearance of realism.

What happened with Maggie's friend is sad and I was surprised that I felt her death because she was new but after all, she is connected to the show's main star. Agent Blake's storyline should have been centered on a case fitting her role in the FBI over a series of episodes, which they would never do because who cares about creativity and continuity?

I didn't hate the storyline but it should have been more than one case and a Mother dying and leaving her daughter Orphaned.

Tell me the writers room is full of men without telling me...
CKM2211 April 2024
Maggie suddenly decides she might want to have a kid so she immediately says she's considering IVF? Hey ding dongs in the writers room, IVF is for women that have serious difficulty conceiving not for women who just want to get pregnant without a man involved. All she needs is a vile from the sperm bank, a $100 artificial insemination doctor's appointment and about 15 minutes not 20,000 worth of specialty fertility procedures. Sadly, this isn't even the dumbest part of an episode that has all the actors running around chasing a guy in a gas mask spraying deadly poisonous gas without masks of their own. I would really love to meet some of the writers working on 'Hollywood' shows these days, I'm convinced they all walk around with velcro shoes because shoelaces are just too difficult for them to figure out. Too bad Hollywood can't go on strike for smarter writers...hey maybe AI could help.

That's not how fire protection systems work
jmullan-5210227 March 2024
Trash research on the conclusion of the episode. Sprinkler systems have and never will work like that.

Riveting episode for the first half but wtf was that garbage fiction on how building systems work at the end. Writers have to do better with knowing how things work instead of just going die hard on things. They searched for tanks for the water fire sprinklers. The shut off broke, how? If it doesn't move 90 degrees one way just don't break it and move it the other way.

Didn't even throw a yippie kai yah mr falcon or anything like that in it. Jesus christ Mr fbi is turning in his grave.

Take your job seriously, writers. The name of the show is fbi. At least go wolf dick and care about this like the law and order series.

Why do I keep watching - idk..
smoon-3778916 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
At this point I am watching FBI so I can pick apart the idiocy in the episodes. In this episode you have some ecoterrorist kid running around poisoning people and the FBI agents are chasing him constantly throughout the episode knowing good and well he has a aerosol can and can spray them. Apparently the assailant is smart enough to wear protective mask but not the oh so brilliant FBI agents? Also they chase the guy down- risking their lives by being poisoned?? The dude has a deadly weapon and has attempted the spray the agents - why didn't the agents eliminate the threat?

Also - what is with these shows promoting single motherhood? I mean at least they are supporting birth and motherhood but I wish shows would promote natural structure of a husband and wife expecting or trying. You never see this in a Dick Wolf show - if they are married its because they are gay. Other than that its singlehood or divorced couples. Its like writers can't have a straight married couple.

Americans will go to EVERY length to not wear a mask
sharnelperera12 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is all about an eco terrorist who goes around spraying people associated with the fracking industry in the face with a deadly chemical. For the entire episode, the only person who wore a respiratory mask was the terrorist. THE TERRORIST. None of the FBI agents ever wore a mask, EVER. They're literally chasing this person through a park, he sprays them, but nope, no lesson learnt, sure let's go chase him again and WEAR NO MASK. Then they're evacuating a building and the poisonous gas is coming through the sprinkler system, but... what's that? Oooh ofcourse, no one's wearing a mask. It's so ridiculous, I actually can't believe what I'm seeing. Wear. A. Mask. You morons. I mean, the episode starts off with Maggie saying she wants to get pregnant, but suuuuuure, let's go running around the poisonous gas. Americans are so.... weird.

That's it, I'm done!
sheenalucas2226 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This show has been getting progressively worse over the weeks but this one has just done me!

I won't be watching it anymore as it has literally turned in to most ludicrous pile of poo on the telly!

"I'm thinking of going for IVF!" Didn't the female actors not think to say "Hang on a minute we could just try a sperm bank first!' Then BAM mate who we have never seen or heard of suddenly turns up then dies! Leaving a little orphan child! Mate! How convenient! Instant mum and saved the cost of the 'IVF'!

I stopped watching FBI Most Wanted because the replacement to Jessie was an over confident big head, this is has now joined that list!

Chicago PD all the way for me.
