A Reasonable Episode
claudio_carvalho14 December 2023
A couple is waiting for friends outside the house when a hamster ball with a man inside rolls onto them. They call the police and tell Russell that they do not recognize the victim. They bring the ball to the laboratory to analyze the debris and plants on the surface and track the location where it was released. Meanwhile, Morgan is investigating the rape case of Amy Morse and CSI Dawn Banks offers to help her since she is working also in home invasion rapes. They believe there is a serial-rapist in Las Vegas. Morgan interviews Amy and Dawn processes her apartment, concluding that the modus operandi was the same of other victims. Morgan and Dawn ask Amy if she has any suspect and she gives the name of her ex-boyfriend Jared Wallace. She shows also the hate emails that he has sent to her. Brass brings Jared to the station and asks for his DNA, but the arrogant man says no and is supported by his father an attorney. Now he becomes the prime-suspect.

"Helpless" is only a reasonable episode of "CSI". Both segments are not attractive and are only OK. The segment of the guy in the hamster ball is weaker that the segment of the serial-rapist, but neither the first nor the second are outstanding or remarkable. My vote is seven.
