Bill Maher is often confronted with the accusation that he’s switched from an ultra-liberal to a more conservative stance. He may have added fuel to that argument with the subect of Friday’s Real Time, which focused on what he called “Biden’s Brain.” It’s a topic that broke out this week from hushed backrooms to the mainstream, thanks to a Dept. of Justice report and the President’s own attempts to refute it.
Maher started his jabs at Biden in the monologue. Talking about the President’s decline of a Super Bowl interview, Biden noted, “It’s not like they were asking him to appear on Dancing With The Stars.”
He then ran down a few of Biden’s confusions, including mixing up politicians. He also said Biden blew his press conference to fight back against the DoJ report when he walked in the room and asked,...

It’s well-established cultural lore that the 1990s are of mythical importance to many Gen-Xers and even some millennials.
But why though? Was it the relatively strong economy? Preponderance of the color teal? Or even just the fact that the ’90s was the last decade to seem like its own distinct thing before new millennium turned intervals of 10 into an unrecognizable sludge? Seriously – you rarely hear people opine for the innocent times of the “’00s” or “’10s” because that just sounds ridiculous.
All of those are possibilities but real ’90s-heads know the appeal comes down to one thing alone: the cartoons. Animation quite simply dominated the end of the 20th century. With Nickelodeon, Disney, MTV, and many other studios operating at full capacity, the decade was filled with creative and entertaining options. From crude renderings to lush, operatic works, the ’90s had something for every animation fan.

Shannen Doherty was spotted on a night on the town with her friends this week amid her brutal brain cancer battle. The actress went to dinner in Malibu at Nobu and was seen leaving the establishment with her female friend and security guard.
She was smiling and looking healthy as she left the restaurant and sporting a beige cardigan over a red patterned blouse.
Last week, she spent the day celebrating her friend and Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Brian Austin Green’s 50th birthday. In a photo she shared on Instagram the two were posing with Ian Ziering by a pool looking happy.
This comes about one month after she revealed her stage four breast cancer had spread to her brain. In multiple Instagram posts, she detailed the strenuous process she is currently experiencing in an attempt to battle the cancer.
She kept this a secret for five months from fans...

90210 stars Shannen Doherty, Brian Austin Green and Ian Ziering reunited to celebrate Green’s 50th birthday over the weekend.
Doherty shared photos on her Instagram account Sunday and captioned the post, “Happy birthday B. I love you @brianaustingreen.”
The actors all met on the set of 90210 in 1990 and have stayed friends ever since. The show ran for ten seasons and ended in 2000.
Doherty, who starred as Brenda Walsh on 90210, has been acting since 1981 in her first role in Father Murphy. She is currently taking a break from acting, as she is battling stage four breast cancer, which has spread to her brain. She has been very open to the public about her diagnosis, sharing her experiences on Instagram.
On June 14, she revealed that she received surgery for a tumor doctors discovered in her brain. She shared that she was “trying to be brave but I am petrified.

New Delhi, May 24 (Ians) In a startling revelation, a team of scientists has uncovered the unique molecular make-up of a woman who can’t feel pain, heals more rapidly and experiences reduced anxiety and fear.
The team from University College London discovered the biology underpinning a rare genetic mutation that allows the woman named Jo Cameron to live virtually pain-free.
The study, published in Brain, follows up the team’s discovery in 2019 of the ‘Faah-out’ gene and the rare mutations that cause Cameron to feel virtually no pain and never feel anxious or afraid.
The new research describes how the mutation in Faah-out ‘turns down’ Faah gene expression, as well as the knock-on effects on other molecular pathways linked to wound healing and mood.
It is hoped the findings will lead to new drug targets and open up new avenues of research in these areas.

With its “dreams within dreams” plot and writer/director Christopher Nolan’s intentionally ambiguous ending, Inception was one of the most confounding movies of 2010. But it was also one of its best, with the film ranking high on nearly every critic’s “10 Best” list that year. Leonardo DiCaprio, who starred in the film, told us that the confusion is all part of the fun of the film, since viewers would feel like the movie is constantly challenging their brains to keep up as the movie tries to stay a step ahead. (Click on the media bar below to hear Leonardo DiCaprio) https://www.hollywoodoutbreak.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Leonado_DiCaptio_Inception_.mp3 Inception is currently streaming on HBO Max and available on DVD, Blu-Ray, 4K, and most digital platforms.

After more than three decades, Frank Henenlotter’s putrid parable for drug addiction hits harder than ever with tons of self-aware bite.
“Splatstick” is an exaggerated horror subgenre that explores grotesque gore that’s so over the top that it begins to border on the point of comedy. Sam Raimi, Peter Jackson, and even more contemporary voices in horror like Sion Sono or Terrifier’s Damien Leone are names that are often associated with this bold, bloody genre. Frank Henenlotter is a pivotal name in splatstick low-budget indie horror whose work often goes overlooked, despite its decidedly more outlandish energy. Henenlotter’s greatest claim to fame is his Basket Case trilogy, but it’s Brain Damage that’s actually the deepest film in his oeuvre.
All of Henenlotter’s horror films have very obvious analogues and they aren’t especially deep in their subtext, but there’s still subtext all the same.

Since the very beginning, absurdity has been the name of the game for "The Animaniacs." Following the adventures of the Warner Brothers Yakko (Rob Paulsen), Wakko (Jess Harnell), and the Warner Sister, Dot (Tress MacNeille), "The Animaniacs" is a beloved variety sketch series filled with innuendos, enough catchy songs to justify its own ranking, timely parodies, and a slew of spotlight characters like Pinky (Paulsen) and the Brain (Maurice Lamarche). Canonically speaking, the characters were first drawn in 1929, which explains their rubber-hose animated style, but were deemed too weird to release and were locked up in the Warner Bros. water tower ... until one day, they escaped.
The first series lasted for 99 episodes and the feature-length film "Wakko's Wish," but was given a revival in 2020 to bring the zany antics of "The Animaniacs" to a brand new generation. The show is one of the few in existence to find a way...

Dionne Harmon, fresh off a 2022 Emmy win as co-executive producer of the Pepsi Super Bowl Lvi Halftime Show, has been upped to president of Jesse Collins Entertainment after 10 years with the company. She had served as executive vice president of Jce since 2021.
The promotion, announced on Wednesday by company founder and CEO Jesse Collins, gives Harmon oversight of all aspects of the company’s creative strategy and financial growth, the company said in a statement. She will report to Collins, the executive producer of all programming. He is an executive producer for the Grammy Awards and the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show and produced the 2021 Oscars.
In an interview, Harmon told TheWrap she joined Jesse Collins Entertainment when the company was first starting out as primarily a producer of awards shows. However, she said she knew Collins wanted to grow Jce into a full-service production company that was “not in a box.

Right from the start, In Search of… stood out. I discovered N.E.R.D.’s 2002 debut at a Best Buy on the rim of Houston’s I-10 loop, sitting at the front of the store on a blue kiosk marked 6.99. I was a first-year high school English teacher, struggling to pull together all the things expected of me. There was this unfussy album cover staring at me, with a twenty-something Black guy on a battered-looking couch in a nondescript apartment playing a video game in his house clothes, blankly staring at an off-screen TV,...
