Freshness in the story.

I love romantic comedies, and this is my favorite film made by any Indian- American director. Instead of copy cat the Hollywood stories, the writers and the Currie Studio picked up a fresh topic along-with the new cast and crew. I never knew how what happens inside the IT company. This film is like a good wine. This film's writing is sharp and so funny, and the cast delivers the lines with flawless timing. There are so many priceless moments that I can't pick out one to highlight; most of them are subtler, funnier and dark like Guruji and Dharma's car scene. Rahul Rai and Leah Kavita's roles are perfect and well played. Chandu Yarram's direction couldn't be better. I'm afraid that I'm doing nothing but gushing in this review, but good is good and it's hard to say anything else.

Award Winning Film

I am fond of this film and the complete two hour drama about a young lady going to the USA from India to live the possibility of her dreams, her encounters and passion throughout is sweet. The Distance Between Us received an award for Best Narrative at The World Independent Film Festival and premiered in Milpitas, CA at the Century Theatre. It was great to see the faces on the people of excitement for a job well done. Looking forward to the reception at The Greater Washington Independent Film Festival on October 26th from 7 - 9:30 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax located on 2709 Hunter Mill Road, Oakton, VA 22124. Come out and see us! I watched the creation from writing, organizing, filming to completion. I hope and wish that everyone will get to watch it and get a few laughs and tears. The cast, crew, director, executive producer, ads l and ll, dop, extras, caterers, friends at Landmark worldwide who played extra backups - You all were great to work with. We worked hard and managed to have so much fun each of the 21 days of filming in NY, NJ, PA, DE and MD. The locations were receptive and generous in allowing the shoots. This movie Rocks the House and you have got to see it!

Cool Movie

I have to say that when I started watching this movie I honestly didn't think it would be any good. In fact, I thought it would just be another cheesy and poorly done independent film. I was so wrong. I mean it was a little cheesy as far as the acting goes but it wasn't terrible.....it was watchable.

I loved Rahul Rai as Ravi. He played the role of a nerdy lovesick puppy very well. I also think Leah Kavita played her part pretty decently as well. It must have been fun to keep turning the same guy down over and over again. It was extremely emotional for me.

This movie was refreshingly new and fun to watch. It really captures the American dream and will take you on an emotional roller coaster.I highly recommend that you watch this. You will not be disappointed as long as you keep in mind that it can be a little cheesy at times and the acting is a little corny.
